  • Patent number: 11204076
Abstract: An inertia-actuated valve assembly includes a valve housing, a valve body and a biasing element. The valve housing includes a groove that has an open end fluidically accessible from along one side thereof. The valve housing includes a flow channel extending therethrough in fluid communication with the groove from along an opposing side of the valve housing. The valve body is positioned within the groove of the valve housing such that the valve body and the valve housing are axially co-extensive along at least a portion thereof. The biasing element operatively engages the valve body and generates a biasing force urging the valve body in a first axial direction. The biasing force is greater than a predetermined dynamic gas pressure threshold value multiplied by a pressure area and is less than or approximately equal to a valve body mass multiplied by 2.5 times the nominal acceleration due to gravity.

  • Patent number: 11206417
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry decodes, from a coded video bitstream, a flag that is indicative of whether applying a lossless coding mode. In response the flag being indicative of applying the lossless coding mode, the processing circuitry partitions a block into multiple blocks based on the block having at least one side that is equal to or greater than a threshold size for zeroing out a portion of the block. Thus, video quality loss due to zero out can be avoided. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs the multiple blocks respectively from the coded video bitstream based on the lossless coding mode.

  • Patent number: 11204044
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator control system that includes an actuator. A pump pumps a hydraulic fluid to move the actuator. A first control valve fluidly couples to the pump. The first control valve provides a first hydraulic fluid flow to the actuator. A maximum first hydraulic fluid flow through the first control valve is less than a maximum required hydraulic fluid flow of the actuator. A second control valve fluidly couples to the pump. The second control valve provides a second hydraulic fluid flow to the actuator. A maximum second hydraulic fluid flow through the second control valve is less than the maximum required hydraulic fluid flow of the actuator. • Patent number: 11204973
Abstract: In an example embodiment, position bias and other types of bias may be compensated for by using two-phase training of a machine-learned model. In a first phase, the machine-learned model is trained using non-randomized training data. Since certain types of machine-learned models, such as those involving deep learning (e.g., neural networks) require a lot of training data, this allows the bulk of the training to be devoted to training using non-randomized training data. However, since this non-randomized training data may be biased, a second training phase is then used to revise the machine-learned model based on randomized training data to remove the bias from the machine-learned model. Since this randomized training data may be less plentiful, this allows the deep learning machine-learned model to be trained to operate in an unbiased manner without the need to generate additional randomized training data.

  • Patent number: 11205256
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a technical solution related to processing images in image transformation by fusion. More particularly, an image of an object of an original picture may be transferred onto an image of a corresponding object in a template picture by fusion. During the transformation by fusion, the processing of fusion may be done on each pixel by using a pixel weight graph, so that the image of the object in the original picture may be better integrated into the template picture with the features of the object in the original picture maintained well in the picture processed by fusion.

  • Patent number: 11205122
Abstract: Some embodiments described herein cover a machine learning architecture with a separated perception subsystem and application subsystem. These subsystems can be co-trained. In one example embodiment, a data item is received and information from the data item is processed by a first node to generate a sparse feature vector. A second node processes the sparse feature vector to determine an output. A relevancy rating associated with the output is determined. A determination is made as to whether to update the first node based on update criteria associated with the first node, wherein the update criteria comprise a relevancy criterion and a novelty criterion. The second node is updated based on the relevancy rating.

  • Patent number: 11206404
Abstract: A video coding system in which video images of a video bitstream are rescaled prior to encoding, and again at the decoder upon reception. When encoding a given video frame, the video encoder deduces a level of resampling to apply to a reference frame in order to properly predict blocks in the given video frame or the full given video frame, and carries out one or more predictions by first applying a resampling process on the reference frame data at the deduced level. To decode the given video frame of the bitstream, a video decoder compares a size of the given video frame to sizes of a reference frame to determine a level of resampling for the reference frame data, and carries out predictions to generate predicted data by first applying the determined level of resampling to the reference frame data.
