Methods and compositions for treating or preventing a lung infection in a human that is infected with SARS-CoV-2 using tafenoquine are disclosed.

Abstract: In-memory computing architectures and methods of performing multiply-and-accumulate operations are provided. The method includes sequentially shifting bits of first input bytes into each row in an array of memory cells arranged in rows and columns. Each memory cell is activated based on the bit to produce a bit-line current from each activated memory cell in a column on a shared bit-line proportional to a product of the bit and a weight stored therein. Charges produced by a sum of the bit-line currents in a column are accumulated in first charge-storage banks coupled to a shared bit-line in each of the columns. Concurrently, charges from second input bytes accumulated in second charge-storage banks previously coupled to the columns are sequentially converted into output bytes. The charge-storage banks are exchanged after the first input bytes have been accumulated and the charges from the second input bytes converted. The method then repeats.

Abstract: Methods and systems for contingency communication are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for providing emergency services may be performed by a base station operating in a communication system in an embodiment, the method for providing emergency services includes transmitting a beacon signal to indicate an emergency status to enable portable devices to operate in a stress mode. A distress signal may be transmitted by a mobile device in response to the beacon signal to the base station, wherein the distress signal carries information at least comprising user identity associated with the mobile device, geolocation of the mobile device, or biometrics of a user of the mobile device.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a trailer maneuvering assistant system onboard a vehicle to communicate with and receive control instructions from a mobile device app. In one example embodiment, the app interface presents the user with an engagement input area and a curvature command area. The user must provide two types of touch inputs to the user interface portions: a first touch input that includes a complex gesture input in the engagement interface portion. In one example embodiment the complex gesture may be user input of a closed geometric shape such as a circle, oval, rectangle, or some other shape. The input may be complex in that it matches a canonical model for the respective shape. Matching may include an input that is coterminous with the canonical model within a threshold amount of error, and/or meets another guideline or threshold such as being a closed shape, or some other predetermined requirement(s).

One embodiment includes obtaining information concerning the content of the media file from the remote server, identifying a starting location within the media sequence, identifying byte ranges of the media file corresponding to media required to play the media sequence from the starting location, requesting the byte ranges required to play the media sequence from the starting location, buffering received bytes of information pending commencement of playback, playing back the buffered bytes of information, receiving a user instruction, identifying byte ranges of the media file corresponding to media required to play the media sequence in accordance with the user instruction, flushing previous byte range requests, and requesting the byte ranges required to play the media in accordance with the user instruction.

Abstract: In a cloud-based multiple client encryption and deduplication environment, secret plaintext data of a client is encrypted to produce ciphertext in an enclave comprising a trusted execution environment which is inaccessible by unauthorized entities and processes even with administrator privileges. Encryption is performed with an initialization vector and an encryption key calculated in the enclave. The encrypted ciphertext is deduplicated prior to storage by comparing a hash of the corresponding plaintext data to hashes of previously stored plaintext data.

Abstract: A two-phase liquid immersion cooling system is described in which heat generating computer components cause a dielectric fluid in its liquid phase to vaporize. Advantageously an absorption/desorption unit is employed having a carbon element and a controller configured to regulate the absorption unit.

Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for fastening a screen has a screen with apertures sized to separate a first sized material from a second sized material. A box is positioned beneath the screen in a bracket extending along the screen. A protrusion extends from the box toward the screen. A triangular tensioning element secured along a length of the screen moves in a direction substantially perpendicular to the length of the screen in response to contact with the protrusion to seal the screen against the bracket and tension the screen.

Abstract: Versions of the disclosure relate to multilayer flats for germinating seeds and growing plants in aeroponic or hydroponic farming. The multilayer structure can include a soilless growth medium sandwiched between a support layer and a light barrier layer. The support layer includes openings that allow plant roots to be sprayed with a nutrient solution and the light barrier layer includes openings that allow plants to develop while limiting the growth of harmful algae on the soilless growth medium.

Abstract: Butterfly assemblies to deliver a fluid into a patient's anatomic space include a body and extensions. The body has an opening to receive a needle to penetrate into a patient's anatomic space, and the extensions are hinged to the body and movable between a closed, compact position and an expanded, open position without significant biasing forces tending to move the extensions into either position. Each extension has an outer periphery at least partially surrounding an interior surface having a locking structure to mate with the other extension and lock the extensions together in the closed, compact position.

Abstract: A method generates a compressed video that is consistent across different devices. The method comprises identifying an output bitrate. The method further comprises parsing parameters of an input video. The method further comprises generating a blank video with a fixed duration based on the parameters of the input video. The method further comprises generating a representative video based on providing the blank video as input to a decoder. The method further comprises determining a request bitrate for the representative video and the output bitrate. The method further comprises compressing the input video using the request bitrate to generate an actual video.

Abstract: A SEU tolerant structure has two logic sections that generate two output signals that are complementary such that a fault which affects one section cannot affect the other section. Adjacent NMOS regions or adjacent PMOS regions contain no logic inversions in the combinational logic or if logic inversions in the combinational logic are present where all gates following the inversion are SEU hard by design. The circuits can be realized using one of a Complex CMOS gate, pass transistor logic, Multiplexor logic, AND-OR logic or OR-AND logic.

Abstract: A feeding assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes: a frame; a rotatable auger supported by the frame and including at least one flighting; and a pickup assembly including a rotatable pickup reel and a plurality of tines rotatably carried by the pickup reel about a rotation axis, the tines being configured to pickup and convey crop material to the auger during rotation of the pickup reel. The pickup reel is movable relative to the auger such that movement of the pickup reel adjusts a distance between the rotation axis and the at least one flighting of the auger.

The beverage container may comprise a container body having a beverage holding chamber and a straw storage compartment configured to enable storage of a removable drinking straw. A removable bottom closure component may be provided for opening and closing the straw storage compartment. The straw-holding structure may be attached to a wall defining the straw storage compartment or attached to an inner portion of the removable bottom closure component, such that when the removable bottom closure component is positioned to close the straw storage compartment, the straw-holding structure is located within the straw storage compartment. When the removable bottom closure component is fully engaged with the container body at an open lower end of the container body, the removable drinking straw may be entirely enclosed within the beverage container.
