Abstract: A method for inter-coding video is provided in which transmission bandwidth requirements associated with second motion vectors for bi-directional temporal prediction is reduced. In the method motion vector information for only one of the two motion vectors for bi-directional temporal prediction can be transmitted together with information on how to derive or construct the second motion vector. Thus, rather than sending express information regarding two motion vectors, express information related to only one motion vector along with information related to reconstruction/derivation of the second motion vector is transmitted, thus reducing bandwidth requirements and increasing coding efficiency.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a motor unit for an overhead door opener. The motor unit comprises a motor and transmission components configured to transmit power from the motor to a shaft of an overhead door opener. The motor unit also includes a case having one or more vertical panels. The case houses the motor and the transmission components. The motor unit also includes guide bearings on an edge of the vertical panels that accommodate a shaft of an overhead door with the case supported by the shaft. The transmission components comprise a shaft-engaging member configured to be secured around the shaft by affixing the shaft-engaging member to the shaft. The transmission components transmit power from the motor to the shaft of the overhead door.

Abstract: Compositions and methods are disclosed containing lingual lipase or another pregastric esterase as a nutritional composition for use in neonatal mammals or mammals with fat maldigestion. The compositions may be used as a stand-alone feed, or an additive to milk, milk or replacers. The composition may also include micronutrients, macronutrients, and bioactive dietary components for neonate mammals or mammals of any age with fat maldigestion Mammals include ruminants, porcines, horses, camelids, dogs, cats, or humans. Lingual lipase or pregastric esterase as a nutritional supplement may substantially improve the digestion of fats in mammals unable to effectively digest fats. The lingual lipase or esterase is preferably from an animal source. The composition may contain butterfat, micellar casein, whey, non-denatured proteins, and a source of lactose. Methods of treating fat maldigestion with the compositions are also disclosed.

Abstract: A data storage system can employ at least one data storage device having a supplemental processing bus that connects a first controller to a second controller with the supplemental bus being exposed to an exterior surface of a housing. The second controller may be positioned on a portable computing component connected to the supplemental bus while the portable computing component is positioned external to the housing. The computing capabilities of the portable computing component are identified with the first controller to allow a supplementation strategy to be generated with the first controller in response to connection of the portable computing component to the supplemental bus. Abstract: A system for operating an overhead door using a battery and a low voltage power supply are disclosed. A battery is connected to a standard power outlet and charges from a power adaptor that converts the power down to a reduced voltage and provides the reduced power to the battery. The battery provides the principal power required to operate the overhead door opener. With the preferred embodiment, there is no need for an additional, higher-rated outlet near the overhead door opener, or a long high-voltage cable in the garage.
