Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more cameras that capture a plurality of two-dimensional images of a three-dimensional object. A light detector and/or a semantic classifier search within those images for lights of the three-dimensional object. A vehicle signal detection module fuses information from the light detector and/or the semantic classifier to produce a semantic meaning for the lights. The vehicle can be controlled based on the semantic meaning. Further, the vehicle can include a depth sensor and an object projector. The object projector can determine regions of interest within the two-dimensional images, based on the depth sensor. The light detector and/or the semantic classifier can use these regions of interest to efficiently perform the search for the lights.

Abstract: Electrodes, including anodes and/or cathodes, comprising a three-dimensional boron-doped carbon nanotube macro-material are disclosed. The anode and/or cathode can be prepared using chemical vapor deposition, using a metal foil, such as a copper foil, as a substrate, and in other embodiments, or can be adhered to a metal foil following preparation. The anode and/or cathode are porous, and a portion of the pores can be filled with appropriate anode or cathode active materials. Preferred active materials for the anode comprise lithium metal or lithium-containing alloys. Preferred active materials for the cathode comprise lithium salts, such as lithium oxide or lithium sulfide, Batteries, capacitors and supercapacitors comprising these anodes and/or cathodes are also disclosed.

The method also includes acquiring measurement data from a sensor, the measurement data indicative of a measured parameter related to the oscillation of the downhole component at the plurality of first rotary speed values, and estimating the stability value of the rotating downhole component as a function of an operational parameter based on the acquired measurement data.

Abstract: A virtual assistant ecosystem is presented. One can instantiate or construct a customized virtual assistant when needed by capturing a digital representation of one or more objects. A virtual assistant engine analyzes the digital representation to determine the nature or type of the objects present. The engine further obtains attributes for a desirable assistant based on the type of objects. Once the attributes are compiled the engine can then create the specific type of assistant required by the circumstances.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system comprises a distributed unit (DU) and a plurality of remote units (RUs). All of the RUs are used to serve the same cell. The system can be configured to wirelessly transmit at least some user data to a first user device using a first subset of the RUs and a first beam, where the first subset of the RUs includes less than all of the RUs otherwise used to serve the same cell. In such an embodiment, the system can be configured to determine which RUs are included in the first subset of RUs used to transmit said at least some user data to the first user device based on measurement reports made by the first user device of reference signal transmissions transmitted using multiple beams, where at least some of the reference signal transmissions are transmitted from less than all of the RUs.

A method includes receiving captured image data of a person with a badge needing access to a secure area, detecting at least two faces from the captured image data, identifying a first name based on matching a face associated with a live human face with a control face in a database, identifying a second name based on matching on another face associated with the badge with a control face in a database, performing character recognition on text associated with the another face, comparing the second name with the character recognized text, comparing the second name with the first name when the second name matches the character recognized text, checking access rights, checking for at least another person in a proximity of the secure area, and granting access when the person is sole person accessing the secure area.

Abstract: A cutting assembly includes: a rotor having extensions; a rotor floor disposed adjacent to the rotor and having knife slots formed therein, the rotor floor defining a cutting side and a shielded side on the opposite side of the rotor floor; movable knives that each extend through a respective knife slot into the cutting side to cooperate with the extensions in a cutting position and are disposed on the shielded side such that the knives do not cooperate with the extensions in a retracted position; and a knife guide including a pair of spaced apart guide surfaces coupled to the rotor floor on the shielded side and defining a gap therebetween. For example, some implementations receive a user selection of a first portion of media content. Some implementations disclosed herein may, based on the first portion, identify a second portion of the media content. The second portion of the media content may include one or more first characters of a first language. Some implementations disclosed herein may create an image that includes the second portion of the media content and may send the image to a server. Some implementations disclosed herein may receive one or more second characters of a second language corresponding to a translation of the one or more first characters of the first language from the server.
