Publication number: 20210263389Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe optical phased array structures and devices in which hyperbolic phase envelopes are employed to create focusing and diverging emissions in one and two dimensions. Tuning the phase fronts moves focal point spot in depth and across the array. Grating emitters are also used to emit light upward (out of plane). Adjusting the period of the gratings along the light propagation direction results in focusing the light emitted from the gratings. Changes in the operating wavelengths employed moves the focal spot along the emitters.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2021Publication date: August 26, 2021Applicant: Analog Photonics LLCInventors: Ehsan Hosseini, Michael Watts

Publication number: 20210260952Abstract: A method of controlling relative roll torque in vehicles having a front active sway bar and a rear active sway bar is provided. The front active sway bar varies roll torque of a front axle and the rear active sway bar varies roll torque of a rear axle. The method includes monitoring dynamic driving conditions during operation of the vehicle and biasing tire lateral load transfer distribution (TLLTD) relative to the front axle based on the monitored dynamic driving conditions. Positive bias of the TLLTD increases the portion of a total roll torque carried by the front active sway bar. Biasing TLLTD occurs during one or more dynamic bias events triggered as monitored dynamic driving conditions exceed one or more calibrated thresholds.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2020Publication date: August 26, 2021Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Brian K. Publication number: 20210266579Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry decodes partition information from a coded video bitstream. The partition information is indicative of a minimum allowed quaternary tree (QT) leaf node size for an intra coded (I) slice. The minimum allowed QT leaf node size for the I slice is constrained by a threshold that is lower than a coding tree unit (CTU) size. Further, the processing circuitry partitions a coding tree block in the I slice into coding blocks based on the minimum allowed QT leaf node size, and reconstructs the coding blocks respectively from the coded video bitstream.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2020Publication date: August 26, 2021Applicant: Tencent America LLCInventors: Guichun LI, Xiang LI, Shan LIU

Publication number: 20210259175Abstract: This invention describes a new method of grain production in corn wherein a designated female corn plant is pollinated with designated male corn plant pollen from an unrelated genetic background. In the method, a designated female plant having both female and male components is grown. Intentional pollination may occur on one more days, is intentional, and occurs at a time when male components are not male sterile and are not shedding pollen. Accordingly, the process involves the intentional delivery of unrelated designated male plant pollen at will, as available either in a preserved pollen bank or real-time collection from male plants as they become available, in a growth chamber for example. The delivered designated male plant pollen is in such amounts and fortuitously timed that it preferentially cross-pollinates the designated female plant.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2021Publication date: August 26, 2021Applicant: Accelerated Ag Technologies, LLCInventors: Jason Cope, Todd Krone
