In addition, the operations include directing, in response to termination of transmission of the first data frame, wireless transmission of a termination signal, the termination signal indicating that transmission of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet terminated prior to completion of transmission of all of the data of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet.

Abstract: According to an aspect of the disclosure, a method of video decoding performed in a video decoder is provided. In the method, syntax information of a coding unit (CU) is decoded from a coded video bitstream. The syntax information is signaled in a picture header (PH) and includes chroma quantization parameter (QP) offsets in a PH level. The chroma QP offsets include at least one of a Cb offset, a Cr offset, and a CbCr offset. Further, quantization parameters for the CU are determined based on the chroma QP offsets in the PH level and a quantization parameter range offset of the CU.

Abstract: A computer system with access to a database of curated content receives a content request (e.g., based on words spoken by a human user interacting with a virtual assistant). The content request relates to a feature of a property (e.g., a vacation rental house) or an area in which the property is located. The computer system determines, based on analysis of the content request, that curated content related to the content request is not available in the database. The computer system transmits a representation of the content request to a property host computing device or a location-based search service. The computer system receives content from the host computing device or search service, which is responsive to the content request. The received content may then be presented to a user (e.g., via email, SMS message, or as synthesized voice output generated by the virtual assistant).

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device having a multi-layered construction is disclosed herein. The protective case includes a flexible inner sleeve for conformingly surrounding the mobile device and a rigid shell for engaging the flexible inner sleeve. The flexible inner sleeve conforms to, and encapsulates, the mobile device. The rigid shell receives and engages the inner sleeve. The flexible inner sleeve and the rigid shell ma be used separately or may be used as an integrated protective unit to protect a mobile device.

Abstract: A system includes a window treatment adjacent to a window of a room. At least one motor drive unit is associated with the window treatment, for varying the position of the window treatment. A sensor measures a light level (e.g., an outdoor light level) at the window. A controller provides signals to the motor drive unit to automatically adjust the position of the window treatment so as to control a penetration distance of sunlight into the room when the window treatment is partially opened. The controller is configured to position the window treatment in a bright override position if the measured light level is at least a bright threshold value. The controller is configured to select the bright threshold value from among at least two predetermined values. The selection depends on an angle of incidence between light rays from the sun and a surface normal of the window.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are genetically engineered immune cells, which express one or more glucose importation polypeptides and optionally a chimeric receptor polypeptide, for example, an antibody-coupled T cell receptor (ACTR) polypeptide or a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) polypeptide. Also disclosed herein are uses of such genetically engineered immune cells for inhibiting cells expressing a target antigen in a subject in need of the treatment, either taken alone or in combination with an Fc-comprising agent (e.g., an antibody) that binds the target antigen.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to powering a constant voltage DC load using a rectified output of a lighting ballast. In an illustrative example, the ballast may be configured to operate as a constant-current source. The DC load may, for example, comprise an array of LED strings connected in parallel. The number of LED strings may, for example, be selected to match a power output of the ballast. The number of LEDs in each string may, for example, be selected to match a rectified voltage output range of the ballast. A normally-open thermostat may, for example, be connected in parallel between the ballast and a rectifier and be configured to short-circuit the ballast if the circuit overheats. Various embodiments may advantageously utilize existing power processing functions of an electronic ballast to reduce complexity of a driver circuit for a constant voltage DC source.

Abstract: A triggered sink circuit for a linear voltage regulator, such as low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO), is disclosed. The triggered sink circuit is activated only when needed to sink current from an output in response to a transient load change. The triggered sink circuit includes a large sink transistor that when activated drains current from the output of the LDO to quickly restore an output voltage back towards a regulated value, thereby improving a load transient response to the load change. The improved load transient response prevents the output transistor of the LDO from being completely deactivated to restore regulation. Accordingly, the LDO's response to a subsequent load transient can be improved.

Abstract: A baling machine includes a rotary drive-transferring driveline including a rotary input shaft that is connected to provide rotary drive as an input to a transmission; a flywheel shaft supporting a flywheel that is rotatably driven as an output of the transmission, the flywheel shaft connecting directly or indirectly to a plunger of the baling machine; and the transmission that is drive-transferringly interposed between the input shaft and the flywheel shaft. The transmission includes one or more clutches for selectively drivingly connecting the input shaft and the flywheel shaft one to the other inside the transmission and the flywheel shaft is free of clutches.

Abstract: A gripper assembly for a coiled tubing injector includes a gripper block configured to grip a tubular member, wherein the gripper block includes a gripper key and a channel, and a carrier configured to couple to a chain of the coiled tubing injector, wherein the carrier includes a carrier key, wherein the carrier key is receivable within the channel of the gripper block whereby the gripper block encloses the carrier key and the gripper key interlocks with the carrier key.

Abstract: According to embodiments, a method of neural network optimized matrix-matrix multiplication (NNMM) is performed by at least one processor and includes determining a first matrix of input coefficients, and determining a second matrix of weight coefficients of a neural network that is trained so that the second matrix has a predetermined uniform pattern, the predetermined uniform pattern having at least two of the weight coefficients that have a same value. The method further includes performing multiplication of the determined first matrix and the determined second matrix to determine output coefficients.

For example, the remote control device may be configured to enter the sleep state upon expiration of an interval of time since a most recent button press. The remote control may be configured to awaken from the sleep state when one or more portions of a housing of the remote control are deflected, for example, when a user grasps the remote control to actuate one or more of the capacitive touch controls. For example, the remote control device may include a switch. The switch may include a carbon structure that may be configured to contact an open circuit pad on a circuit board to close the corresponding circuit when the housing is deflected and awaken the remote control device from the sleep state.

Abstract: A leak detection system includes a high voltage leak detection (HVLD) testing system configured to inspect a package using a HVLD apparatus that includes an inspection electrode and a detection electrode. The leak detection system includes a grounding system that includes a grounding element. The grounding system is configured to remove, significantly reduce, or conduct away electric charge accumulation on the package. The leak detection system also includes a controller configured to operate and coordinate the operation of the grounding system with the operation of the HVLD testing system.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments presently disclosed, a method for processing a chemical stream may include contacting a feed stream with a catalyst in a reactor portion of a reactor system that includes a reactor portion and a catalyst processing portion. Contacting the feed stream with the catalyst may cause a reaction forming an effluent. The method may include separating the effluent stream from the catalyst, passing the catalyst to the catalyst processing portion, and processing the catalyst in the catalyst processing portion. Processing the catalyst may include passing the catalyst to a combustor, combusting a supplemental fuel stream in the combustor to heat the catalyst, and treating the heated catalyst with an oxygen-containing gas. The supplemental fuel stream may include at least 1 mol % of one or more hydrocarbons, and a weight ratio of catalyst to hydrocarbons in the combustor may be at least 300:1.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the infusion of polycosanols, including triacontanol (C30-OH), into essential-oil-based pesticides for the purpose of mitigating phytotoxicity inherent in essential-oil-based pesticides and for introducing the plant biostimulant triacontanol (C30-OH). Such formulations are typically combined with one or more emulsifier and water and applied to plants as a spray or fog to foliage, or pruning cuts, or as a root zone drench, or to seeds, for purposes of insect and disease suppression, and for increasing plant growth and/or yields and/or quality of yields and/or stimulating an immune response for controlling diseases. All claims for such benefits of essential oils as pesticides and of triacontanol as a plant biostimulant are supported by numerous studies in peer review journals. The invention improves upon existing essential-oil-based pesticides by reducing phytotoxicity from the addition of waxes, and by introducing the potent plant biostimulant wax, triacontanol.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for providing a proxy server or scrubbing service for an authoritative domain name server (DNS) of a CDN to prevent or otherwise mitigate attacks on the server. The proxy server may receive incoming requests to the authoritative DNS and determine which requests are valid and which are potentially part of an attack on the network. In one embodiment, the proxy server may then “scrub” or otherwise remove the requests of the attack to mitigate the effect of the attack on the network. For example, the proxy server may ignore the request, may direct the request to a “dead-end” server or other device to prevent overloading of the target device, may instruct a device from which the request was sent to discard the request, etc.

Abstract: A method for providing help includes providing a plurality of data records, each data record having medical information regarding a user and one or more contacts associated with the user. After receiving a call for help at a call center computer system, determining the user based upon an identifier of the call for help and assigning an agent computer of the call center computer system to the call for help then transferring at least part of the data record to the agent computer. The data record of the user is then accessed at the agent computer and after determining a nature of the need for the help, a second call is made to one contact from the data record of the user after selecting the one contact selected based upon the need for help.
