  • Patent number: 10858985
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a cylinder with a combustion chamber and a piston supported reciprocatingly in the cylinder and delimiting the combustion chamber. A crankcase is connected to the cylinder and a crankshaft is rotatably supported therein. The piston is operatively connected to the crankshaft so as to drive the crankshaft in rotation. A transfer passage provides flow communication between crankcase interior and combustion chamber when the piston is at bottom dead center. The transfer passage has a port opening connecting the transfer passage to the crankcase interior and has a transfer port connecting the transfer passage to the combustion chamber. A fuel supply device supplies fuel into the transfer passage at a location between the transfer port and the port opening. The transfer passage has a connecting opening and is connected to the crankcase interior at the connecting opening. A control element controls the connecting opening.

  • Patent number: 10845435
Abstract: A device registers an On state of a drive motor of a tool. A changing magnetic flux is produced in the On state of the drive motor. First and second peak hold detectors generate upper and lower peak signals from induced voltage output signals. An evaluation device is configured to form a difference from the generated upper peak signal and the generated lower peak signal, and compare the formed difference with an adjustable threshold value in order to determine the On state of the drive motor when the threshold value is reached or exceeded.

  • Patent number: 10820493
Abstract: A ground working system includes at least one self-driving ground working device, which has a drive and a control unit. An operating region (A) is bounded by a wire, wherein the ground working device travels along a traveling path (W) determined by the control unit in the operating region (A). A base station has a transmission unit, which is electrically connected to the wire and by which a wire signal is transmitted. The wire signal transmitted on the wire is electrically received by a reception unit of the base station, compared with a predetermined setpoint signal and, in the event of a deviation of the electrically received wire signal from the predetermined setpoint signal, the transmitted wire signal is changed.

  • Patent number: 10816048
Abstract: A work apparatus has a work tool driven by a combustion engine. A brake assembly has a brake element for braking the work tool as it slows down. In a braking position of the brake assembly, the work tool is braked, while, in a stand-by position of the brake assembly, the brake element enables the movement of the work tool. The brake element is held in the stand-by position by a holding force from an electromagnet supplied with energy by an electric generator driven by the engine, for which purpose, in the stand-by position of the brake assembly, a holding current is supplied to the electromagnet. To extend the holding time as the engine slows down, an operating parameter of the engine is monitored and, after a limit value of the operating parameter is reached, the holding current supplied to the electromagnet is reduced.

  • Patent number: 10814469
Abstract: A power tool has a handle operatively connected with vibration damping across a vibration gap to a drive motor with throttle element. An actuating device on the handle actuates the throttle element pivotably supported in a housing. A coupling element bridging the vibration gap connects actuating device to throttle element. The actuation movement of the actuation device is transmitted as rotation about an axis transverse to the vibration gap. An intermediate element is pivotably supported on an actuating element connected to the throttle element. The coupling element acts on the intermediate element and, over part of the actuation movement, contacts a contact region of the intermediate element. A guide for the intermediate element changes a position of the contact region relative to the housing based on a rotational position of the actuating element by changing a pivot position of the intermediate element relative to the housing.
