  • Patent number: 12101180
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for high power operation in user equipment. The user equipment may indicate to a network high power capability of the user equipment. Based on an uplink signal strength of the user equipment, the network may send a command to the user equipment to transmit using the high power user equipment (HPUE) operation in half-duplex frequency division duplex (HD-FDD) mode. The network may also send a signal for the user equipment to return to a default power mode based on the uplink signal strength. The user equipment may then reconfigure to the default power in full-duplex frequency division duplex (FD-FDD) mode. The user equipment may also send an indication of an uplink duty cycle which indicates the ratio of uplink allocations corresponding to uplink transmissions relative to total uplink and downlink allocations.

  • Patent number: 12100183
Abstract: A system comprises an encoder configured to compress attribute information and/or spatial for a point cloud and/or a decoder configured to decompress compressed attribute and/or spatial information for the point cloud. A point cloud attribute transfer algorithm may be used to determine distortion between an original point cloud and a reconstructed point cloud. Additionally, the point cloud attribute transfer algorithm may be used to select attribute values for a reconstructed point cloud such that distortion between an original point cloud and a reconstructed version of the original point cloud is minimized.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for beamforming in wireless communication systems are described. A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring a downlink reference signal from a base station; transmitting, via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) in response to a change in a quality of the downlink reference signal, wherein the BFRQ comprises new beam information; receiving, by the UE, a downlink control information (DCI) message to trigger a PUSCH transmission corresponding to the HARQ process number; and transmitting, by the UE after at least a predetermined number of symbols from a last symbol of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception containing the DCI message, information via a PUCCH in accordance with the new beam information. The UE can apply the new beam information to uplink and downlink channels.

  • Patent number: 12101645
Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for using group based reporting for beam management in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can determine based on a signal-to-interference-plus noise ratio (SINR) or reference signal received power (RSRP) measurement, a ranking of two or more beam combinations, and transmit the ranking to a 5G node B (gNB). The UE can receive from the gNB, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint that identifies a combination of two or more beams, where the TCI codepoint is based at least on the ranking. The UE can receive simultaneous transmissions via the combination, and transmit a report to the gNB that identifies by the TCI codepoint, SINRs that corresponds to the combination. In some embodiments the UE can simultaneously transmit on a second combination identified by a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) codepoint.

  • Patent number: 12099683
Abstract: Acoustic touch and/or force sensing system architectures and methods for acoustic touch and/or force sensing can be used to detect a position of an object touching a surface and an amount of force applied to the surface by the object. The position and/or an applied force can be determined using time-of-flight (TOF) techniques, for example. Acoustic touch sensing can utilize transducers (e.g., piezoelectric) to simultaneously transmit ultrasonic waves along a surface and through a thickness of a deformable material. The location of the object and the applied force can be determined based on the amount of time elapsing between the transmission of the waves and receipt of the reflected waves. In some examples, an acoustic touch sensing system can be insensitive to water contact on the device surface, and thus acoustic touch sensing can be used for touch sensing in devices that may become wet or fully submerged in water.
