Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to perform a switch of a TCI state from a serving cell to a neighbor cell. A UE determines whether the state of the neighbor cell is known or unknown and whether the neighbor cell's TCI state is known or unknown. The total delay time to perform the TCI state switch can impacted by this the known/unknown statuses. Other factors can also contribute to the total delay time. The UE may also signal its capability to monitor the TCI state of the neighbor cell and its capability to switch to such a TCI state.

Abstract: An encoder is configured to compress point cloud information using a blocks of nodes determined from a prediction tree. A prediction tree is generated for a point cloud. Segments of the prediction tree are identified. The segments are divided into blocks that are predicted by predecessor blocks within the segments. The blocks of the prediction tree may then be encoded and may be provided for transmission to a decoder that can regenerate the point cloud from the blocks of the prediction tree.

  • Publication number: 20240205605
Abstract: A context-aware voice guidance method is provided that interacts with other voice services of a user device. The voice guidance does not provide audible guidance while the user is making a verbal request to any of the voice-activated services. Instead, the voice guidance transcribes its output on the screen while the verbal requests from the user are received. In some embodiments, the voice guidance only provides a short warning sound to get the user's attention while the user is speaking on a phone call or another voice-activated service is providing audible response to the user's inquires. The voice guidance in some embodiments distinguishes between music that can be ducked and spoken words, for example from an audiobook, that the user wants to pause instead of being skipped. The voice guidance ducks music but pauses spoken words of an audio book in order to provide voice guidance to the user.

  • Publication number: 20240202149
Abstract: Embodiments relate to coordinating the operations of subsystems in a communication system of an electronic device where a coexistence hub device monitors the state information transmitted as coexistence messages over one or more multi-drop buses, processes the monitored coexistence messages and sends out control messages as coexistence messages to other systems on chips (SOCs). The coexistence hub device can also update the operations of the communication system. The coexistence hub device may receive an operation policy from a central processor and may execute the operation policy without further coordination of the central processor. • Publication number: 20240205363
Abstract: Embodiments relate to extracting features from images, such as by identifying keypoints and generating keypoint descriptors of the keypoints. An apparatus includes a pyramid image generator circuit, a keypoint descriptor generator circuit, and a pyramid image buffer. The pyramid image generator circuit generates an image pyramid from an input image. The keypoint descriptor generator circuit processes the pyramid images for keypoint descriptor generation. The pyramid image buffer stores different portions of the pyramid images generated by the pyramid image generator circuit at different times and provides the stored portions of the pyramid images to the keypoint descriptor generator circuit for keypoint descriptor generation. When first portions of the pyramid images are no longer needed for the keypoint descriptor generation, the first portions are removed from the pyramid image buffer to provide space for second portions of the pyramid images that are needed for the keypoint descriptor generation.

  • Publication number: 20240201512
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for generating images to be displayed on lenticular displays. In these methods, a fixed mesh is generated offline, and in real-time texture information is mapped to the fixed mesh. In an offline process, texture and 3D mesh information for an object is used to render UV map views for multiple viewpoints of the object, view maps are generated from display calibration data, and a lenticular to UV map is generated from the UV map views and view maps. In real-time, texture information is captured, and a composite process is performed that generates a lenticular image for multiple viewpoints by sampling pixels from the texture based on the lenticular to UV map. The lenticular image is then displayed on the lenticular display. Detected positions of persons in the environment may be used to limit the number of viewpoints that are generated during the real-time composite process.

  • Patent number: 12014100
Abstract: Electronic devices are used to provide content data and information to users based on their positional and user contexts. Methods and systems herein determine locations of the devices and provide content data from the devices based on their locations and based on content delivery settings, categories, and classifications. Some methods include distribution systems for providing content data and settings to a devices based on their locations. Thus, content data delivered by the devices is prioritized to improve the utility of the devices and the information they present. When multiple electronic devices are brought into proximity with each other, they can also interact to provide content data in different ways, including splitting up the content data, showing extensions, enlargements, or expansions of the content data, or otherwise differentiating the data provided by each device to improve the utility of the information provided by the devices.

  • Patent number: 12015994
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) operates in a network. The UE receives, from the network, a paging area comprising a plurality of cells of the network. When the UE is in one of a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state or RRC idle state with respect to the network, the UE transmits a message to a first cell of the paging area based on the UE moving into a first coverage area of the first cell from a second coverage area of a second cell of the paging area.
