Abstract: A camera system may include one or more voice coil motor (VCM) actuators to implement focus, tilt and shift functions. The VCM actuators may include coils segmented into multiple coil segments having individually impedances lower than the impedance of the respective coil as a whole. The coil segments may be individually driven by respective currents at different points in time to interact with magnet(s) to produce motive forces along the same axis. Based on the winding configuration and driving mode of the coil segments, the motive forces may move a lens group relative to an image sensor in a direction substantially orthogonal to an image plane, tilt the lens group relative to the image sensor, or shift the image sensor relative to the lens group on the image plane.
Abstract: Some embodiments provide an apparatus for controlling the motion of a camera component. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes an actuator module. The actuator module includes a plurality of magnets. Each magnet of the plurality of magnets is poled with magnetic domains substantially aligned in the same direction throughout each magnet. The apparatus further includes a coil rigidly disposed around a lens. Each magnet of the plurality of magnets contributes to the forces to adjust focus of the lens based on Lorentz forces generated from the coil.

Abstract: described embodiments transfer an activity from a source electronic device to a companion electronic device. The source electronic device receives activity information describing an activity performed in a first application at the source electronic device, determines an activity identifier for the activity information, and broadcasts an activity advertisement comprising the activity identifier. Upon receiving the activity advertisement, the companion electronic device determines whether a second application that is associated with the first application is available at the companion electronic device. If the second application is available, the companion electronic device requests extended activity data from the source electronic device. The source electronic device responds by sending extended activity data from the first application to the companion electronic device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for enhancement in configured grant transmission. An embodiment operates by receiving a configured grant (CG) configuration message configuring a plurality of CG physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission occasions (TOs) within a CG period. Next, the embodiment receives an information element indicating a time division duplexing (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) slot configuration. The embodiment then determines whether a particular CG PUSCH TO of the plurality of CG PUSCH TOs overlaps with a DL slot indicated by the TDD UL-DL slot configuration. Finally, in response to a determination that the particular CG PUSCH TO overlaps with the DL slot, the embodiment skips utilizing the particular CG PUSCH TO.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for measuring biometric data including respiration in head-mounted devices (HMDs). Accelerometers may be integrated into a HMD and used to collect motion data from a user's face. This motion data may be processed to generate estimates of the user's respiration rate and changes to the respiration rate. Thermal sensors may also be integrated into the HMD and used to collect thermal data from the surface of the user's face (or other regions of the user's head). This thermal data may also be processed to generate estimates of the user's respiration. The respiration rate and changes to respiration rate derived from signals from the sensors may be used to generate and present biometric data to the user.

Abstract: An apparatus configured to be employed in a user equipment (UE) associated with a new radio (NR) communication system is disclosed. The apparatus comprises one or more processors configured to process a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling signal, received from a gNodeB associated therewith, wherein the PDSCH scheduling signal is configured to schedule a transmission of PDSCH. In some embodiments, the PDSCH scheduling signal comprises a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state indicative of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource that is triggered aperiodically. In some embodiments, the apparatus is further configured to determine a receive (Rx) beam to be utilized for the reception of the scheduled PDSCH transmission, that forms a PDSCH Rx beam, based on the indicated CSI-RS resource.

Abstract: A head-mountable device can include a nosepiece that distributes forces away from a top of the nose to the sides of the nose. The nose contact elements of such nosepieces can be slideably and/or rotationally biased to apply forces to the sides of the nose when the head-mountable device is worn by a user. Such distribution allows forces to be spread across a greater area, which improves overall comfort, positioning, and light sealing of the head-mountable device.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to signaling between a user equipment (UE) and a cell over the unlicensed spectrum. The UE may receive a signal broadcast by a cell of the network over a channel in the unlicensed spectrum. The signal includes a set of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) each corresponding to a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSB) and is transmitted during a discovery reference signal (DRS) window. The UE may then determine a location of the set of CSI-RS within the DRS window and perform an operation based on the set of CSI-RS.

Abstract: A host device establishes a wireless communication link with a client device, and implements a wired communication standard on the link to transfer a first data stream. To increase data throughput while complying with the standard, the host device replaces synchronizing information in a packet to be sent during a first synchronizing frame with configuration information indicating that packet exchange data of a second data stream is to be sent or received during a second synchronizing frame. The host device sends or receives the packet exchange data of the second data stream to or from the client device during the second synchronizing frame via the wireless communication link. The host device may send or receive the packet exchange data of the second data stream during delays or idle periods between sending and/or receiving packets of the first data stream via the wireless communication link according to the wired communication standard.
