  • Patent number: 11669883
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a security model and interface for wearable device digital purchases that can be made without the assistance of a companion device. The satellite device can be configured to be used as a primary device, without reliance upon a paired device. A provisioning process may be implemented to generate and validate one or more tokens to authenticate the wearable device and a set of cryptographic keys can be generated. Subsequently, the token(s) and cryptographic keys may be used to enable a user of the wearable device to make purchases from a digital shopping store without support from an associated companion electronic device.

  • Patent number: 11671907
Abstract: Systems and methods of providing a V2X communications are generally described. A geographically-limited, operator-independent mapping table is used that maps between groups of V2X applications each associated with a different application category and a different RAT preferred for the V2X application category. Each grouping is based on fulfillment of one or more KPIs for the associated V2X application category. Multiple RATs are prioritized if able to fulfill the KPIs. The mapping table is modified based on the RATs supported by the V2X UE. Carrier aggregation is used when simultaneous transmission on different RATs is desired.

  • Patent number: 11670289
Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for handling a multi-part voice command for a virtual assistant. Speech input can be received from a user that includes multiple actionable commands within a single utterance. A text string can be generated from the speech input using a speech transcription process. The text string can be parsed into multiple candidate substrings based on domain keywords, imperative verbs, predetermined substring lengths, or the like. For each candidate substring, a probability can be determined indicating whether the candidate substring corresponds to an actionable command. Such probabilities can be determined based on semantic coherence, similarity to user request templates, querying services to determine manageability, or the like. If the probabilities exceed a threshold, the user intent of each substring can be determined, processes associated with the user intents can be executed, and an acknowledgment can be provided to the user.

  • Patent number: 11670962
Abstract: An electronic watch may include a housing, a display positioned at least partially within the housing, a transparent cover coupled to the housing and at least partially covering the display, a battery, and a coil coupled to the battery and configured to, during a battery charging operation, supply a first current to the battery and, during a haptic output operation, receive a second current from the battery to produce a haptic output. The electronic watch may further include a ferromagnetic element positioned at least partially within the housing and movable relative to the housing. The second current may cause the coil to produce a magnetic field, and the haptic output may be produced as a result of an interaction between the magnetic field and the ferromagnetic element that causes the ferromagnetic element to move relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 11668026
Abstract: A fabric-based item may include fabric formed from intertwined strands of material. The fabric may include first and second fabric layers that at least partially surround a pocket. Initially, the pocket may be completely enclosed by the first and second layers of fabric. A shim may be placed in the pocket before the pocket is closed. An opening may be formed in the first layer of fabric to expose a conductive strand in the pocket. The shim may prevent the cutting tool from cutting all the way through to the second layer of fabric. After cutting the hole in the first layer of fabric, the shim may be removed and an electrical component may be soldered to the conductive strand in the pocket. A polymer material may be injected into the pocket to encapsulate the electrical component. The polymer material may interlock with the surrounding pocket walls.

  • Patent number: 11671686
Abstract: A camera module may be assembled from a base component formed of a horizontal surface and having a raised wall that extends vertically from the horizontal surface and a housing component having a vertical surface that affixes to, with adhesive, the raised wall of the base component. Assembly of the camera module may include dispensing adhesive along a top edge of the raised wall to partially overhang the edge and placing the housing component down onto the base component. During assembly, the adhesive that is distributed on the top surface of the raised wall can be sheared or otherwise distributed by the action of the a corresponding wall of the housing component moving to past the top surface and causes at least some of the adhesive to spread between opposing surfaces of respective vertical walls of the base component and the housing component of the camera. The adhesive is then cured.

  • Patent number: 11671134
Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having one or more radios and one or more antennas. The wireless circuitry may operate in the presence of radio-frequency interference coming from various sources, which can cause a loss of sensitivity or desensitization of the wireless circuitry. To detect and mitigate desensitization of the wireless circuitry, one or more processors may receive wireless circuitry performance metric data, discriminate between wideband interference and narrowband interference based on the wireless circuitry performance metric data, and use different representative noise floor values for wideband interference or narrowband interference to characterize the desensitization of the wireless circuitry.
