Abstract: The disclosure is related to head-to-head (H2H) gate on arrays (GOA) for pixel-based displays that may have reduced dimensions. In the described embodiments, the H2H design with alternate logic may be used to drive groups of pixels (e.g., a pixel row or column) with a primary and a secondary driver, located in opposite ends of the bezel of the electronic device. In the alternate-logic design, a shared shift-register may be used to enable two rows or columns. Embodiments in which more than two rows or columns are controlled by a single shift register are also described.
Abstract: Sensor data produced in a multi-sensor environment is time synchronized, such as using a master time. A component that derives the master time transmits a signal to a first sensor of the multi-sensor environment, which signal indicates the master time. The component subsequently receives a signal from the first sensor, which signal indicates a first time determined by the first sensor based on the master time and a latency associated with the first sensor. The first time indicates a time of an event associated with the first sensor data. A determination is then made that the first sensor data corresponds to second sensor data produced using a second sensor of the multi-sensor environment based on the first time and a second time indicating a time of an event associated with the second sensor data.

Abstract: A media channel can include a mix of media items and invitational content items. At some point during the playback of the media channel an invitational content item can be presented. In some cases, the invitational content items eligible for presentation can be of differing types, such as video and audio. In can be advantageous to restrict presentation of video invitational content items to times when a user is likely to view the screen of the client device during playback of the invitational content item. To accomplish this one or more heuristics or rules can be applied to client device data to predict a user attention level. The user attention level can then be correlated to an invitational content item type, which can then be used to select an invitational content item for playback.

Abstract: Systems and methods of providing location techniques for a NB UE are described. The UE transmits, to a location server, a capability message that indicates position capabilities of the UE to support different positioning methods and common information related to the position methods, including that the UE is a NB UE. The UE receives a request for location information that includes a request for positioning measurements for a particular positioning method, a NB message size limit that indicates a limit on an amount of location information to return, and a NB response time to provide the positioning measurements. At least one of the response time or message size limit is different than for the NB UE than for non-NB UEs. The UE enters an idle state, performs the measurements, and transmits at expiry of or before the NB response time, a message containing the measurements.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a flyback converter with a series-parallel mode (SPM) active clamp. The active clamp, coupled in parallel with the primary coil, may include a clamp switch, two or more snubber capacitors, and associated diodes. The active clamp may be configured to absorb and retain the leakage energy from the leakage inductance of the flyback converter. The clamp switch may be turned on selectively as the primary switch approaches one of a plurality peak values to adjust frequencies of the switching devices. With the active clamp circuit, the flyback converter may first re-capture the leakage energy in the active clamp circuit and then recover it back to the power source.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a method for identifying parking locations. The current disclosure presents a technique for identifying parking locations within a geographical area. In one embodiment, a database is populated and stores information associated with parking locations. The database can include coordinates associated with parking locations and other relevant attributes. In another embodiment, the information from the database may be used to identify and present a visual representation and route to available parking locations.
Abstract: An operating system (OS) update to a secure element (SE) may be commanded, for example, in order to fix a security bug, upgrade a version of an OS, provide mobile network operator (MNO) specific extensions such as to an application programming interface (API) or to cause OS/profile switching. Many of these OS updates will affect one or more profiles present on the SE. An MNO associated with a given profile will benefit in some instances by being provided with a notification of the OS update, since the OS update may affect SE capabilities and thus affect what a given profile can or cannot do after the OS update occurs. Embodiments provided herein create notification entries that will appropriately inform the concerned MNO. In some embodiments, a capability linking variable (“linkedcapability”) is used to determine whether an SE capability change should trigger transmission of a notification to the concerned MNO.
Abstract: An electronic device such as an earbud may have control circuitry mounted in a housing. Abstract: Systems and processes for selectively processing and responding to a spoken user input are provided. In one example, audio input containing a spoken user input can be received at a user device. The spoken user input can be identified from the audio input by identifying start and end-points of the spoken user input. It can be determined whether or not the spoken user input was intended for a virtual assistant based on contextual information. The determination can be made using a rule-based system or a probabilistic system. If it is determined that the spoken user input was intended for the virtual assistant, the spoken user input can be processed and an appropriate response can be generated. If it is instead determined that the spoken user input was not intended for the virtual assistant, the spoken user input can be ignored and/or no response can be generated.
