  • Patent number: 10769182
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that links a term in an application running on a device to a predictive search query is described. In one embodiment, the device receives a plurality of key terms from a key terms server, wherein each of the plurality of key terms is associated with the predictive search query. For each of the plurality of application terms, the device determines if there is a matching key term for this application term with at least one of the plurality of key terms. The device further receives an indication that a user has selected the matching key term. In addition, the device requests a query search to a search server using the predictive search query associated with the matching key term. Furthermore, the device receives a query search result from the query search server and presents the query search results to the user of the device.

  • Patent number: 10769474
Abstract: Embodiments relate a keypoint detection circuit for identifying keypoints in captured image frames. The keypoint detection circuit generates an image pyramid based upon a received image frame, and determine multiple sets of keypoints for each octave of the pyramid using different levels of blur. In some embodiments, the keypoint detection circuit includes multiple branches, each branch made up of one or more circuits for determining a different set of keypoints from the image, or for determining a subsampled image for a subsequent octave of the pyramid. By determining multiple sets of keypoints for each of a plurality of pyramid octaves, a larger, more varied set of keypoints can be obtained and used for object detection and matching between images.

  • Publication number: 20200280952
Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for secure time-of-arrivals calculations in an ultra-wideband (UWB) system. Some embodiments include a UWB receiver that can inspect a channel impulse response (CIR) between a first and second electronic device and identify one or more first path candidates (FPCs). For a candidate path, the UWB receiver can identify subsequent paths that create inter-pulse interference (IPI) on the candidate path. Using estimates for the interfering path strengths (e.g., channel coefficients from the CIR) and the known cryptographically sequence of pulse polarities (SPP), the UWB receiver can reduce the IPI from these interfering paths on the FPCs, and then make decisions based at least on the remaining pulse polarities, whether the one or more FPCs comprise a legitimate transmission signal.

  • Patent number: 10760922
Abstract: A user points a handheld communication device to capture and display a real-time video stream. The handheld communication device detects geographic position, camera direction, and tilt of the image capture device. The user sends a search request to a server for nearby points of interest. The handheld communication device receives search results based on the search request, geographic position, camera direction, and tilt of the handheld communication device. The handheld communication device visually augments the captured video stream with data related to each point of interest. The user then selects a point of interest to visit. The handheld communication device visually augments the captured video stream with a directional map to a selected point of interest in response to the user input.

  • Patent number: 10758173
Abstract: In some implementations, a mobile device can adjust an alarm setting based on the sleep onset latency duration detected for a user of the mobile device. For example, sleep onset latency can be the amount of time it takes for the user to fall asleep after the user attempts to go to sleep (e.g., goes to bed). The mobile device can determine when the user intends or attempts to go to sleep based on detected sleep ritual activities. Sleep ritual activities can include those activities a user performs in preparation for sleep. The mobile device can determine when the user is asleep based on detected sleep signals (e.g., biometric data, sounds, etc.). In some implementations, the mobile device can determine recurring patterns of long or short sleep onset latency and present suggestions that might help the user sleep better or feel more rested.

  • Patent number: 10761712
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques of configuring a layout of graphical objects for display. In one example process, the device detects a scroll request and determines whether the scroll request meets predetermined criteria. If the scroll request meets the criteria, the device configures the layout of graphical objects that are to be displayed once the display is scrolled so that the graphical objects are arranged on the display differently than the arrangement in which the graphical objects would have been displayed, had the layout not been configured. If the scroll request does not meet the criteria, the device forgoes the configuration of the layout of graphical objects.

  • Patent number: 10762440
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a sensor data-processing system which detects and classifies objects detected in an environment via fusion of sensor data representations generated by multiple separate sensors. The sensor data-processing system can fuse sensor data representations generated by multiple sensor devices into a fused sensor data representation and can further detect and classify features in the fused sensor data representation. Feature detection can be implemented based at least in part upon utilizing a feature-detection model generated via one or more of deep learning and traditional machine learning. The sensor data-processing system can adjust sensor data processing of representations generated by sensor devices based on external factors including indications of sensor health and environmental conditions.

  • Patent number: 10758133
Abstract: An algorithm for removing motion artifacts from the PPG signal in the time domain to determine heart rate is disclosed. A device for determining a heart rate of a user can include a heart rate sensor configured to generate heart rate signals when positioned on or adjacent to a user's skin, an accelerometer configured to generate one or more acceleration signals, and processing circuitry configured to remove, in a time domain, motion artifacts from the heart rate signals based on the acceleration signals. In some examples, the removal of motion artifacts can also be based on mean-centered, variance-scaled integrated acceleration signals. In some examples, the processing circuitry can be configured to remove motion artifacts using a least squares algorithm to identify a best representation of acceleration and integrated acceleration signals in the heart rate signals.

  • Patent number: 10761358
Abstract: Electrical shield line systems are provided for openings in common electrodes near data lines of display and touch screens. Some displays, including touch screens, can include multiple common electrodes (Vcom) that can have openings between individual Vcoms. Some display screens can have an open slit between two adjacent edges of Vcom. Openings in Vcom can allow an electric field to extend from a data line through the Vcom layer. A shield can be disposed over the Vcom opening to help reduce or eliminate an electric field from affecting a pixel material, such as liquid crystal. The shield can be connected to a potential such that electric field is generated substantially between the shield and the data line to reduce or eliminate electric fields reaching the liquid crystal.
