Abstract: A device for elastic interconnection of two rotatable shafts consisting of a first sleeve intended to be connected to a first shaft end. The sleeve has a radial flange and a cylindrical, annular portion connected to the periphery of the flange. A second sleeve is intended to be connected to a second shaft end and to be surrounded by said cylindrical portion. A number of elastically deformable spherical elements are arranged in opposing recesses in said second sleeve and cylindrical portion and distributed around a shaft end. The recesses in the cylindrical portion are arranged in the end surfaces of plugs and provided with external threads. The plugs by being turned are displaceable in threaded bores provided radially in the wall of the cylindrical part. The outer end surfaces of the plugs are provided with diametrical grooves and the cylindrical portion is provided with a diametrical groove. • Patent number: 4762207
Abstract: An automatic adjustment arrangement for disk brakes has a flanged threaded nut and a threaded spindle threadedly coupled thereto arranged between the brake piston and the hand brake piston. The flange of the threaded nut is axially form-locked and radially displaceable relative to the brake piston. The threaded spindle is rotatably supported in a rolling bearing which is radially displaceable. The hand brake piston and threaded spindle are frictionally coupled. The extension of the adjustment member is produced by rotation of the threaded spindle. To avoid malfunctions, an automatic centering of the entire adjustment element relative to the brake piston as well as relative to the housing is provided. Manufacturing and assembly errors are thereby compensated for. The positions of the threaded spindle and threaded nut can be interchanged.

  • Patent number: 4747320
Abstract: In a device for producing self-locking properties of a screw and nut device the nut co-operates with a torque-transmitting part which is rotatable in relation to the nut. Torque is transmitted via a portion on the torque-transmitting part, which portion is arranged in a space between two opposing surfaces on the nut. A helical spring is arranged in a thread around a threaded shaft and has an end portion inserted into the space. The helical portion of the spring has a loose fit in the thread when the nut is driven by the part, whereas the spring is contracted against the shaft when the end portion contacts one of the opposing surfaces of the nut and thereby brakes the rotation if the nut tends to be rotated by an axial load on the nut and the part is disconnected.
