  • Patent number: 10929960
Abstract: A method and an image processing device for detecting a portion of an image that is dominated by infrared (IR) light of at least one predetermined IR wavelength are disclosed. A set of phase pixel values for setting focus in the image is obtained. Each of the phase pixel values is compared to a first threshold related to phase shift occurring due to difference between at least a wavelength of the first colour component and said at least one predetermined IR wavelength. Moreover, in case a phase pixel value satisfies the first threshold, it is determined that the respective location associated with said phase pixel value is included in the portion of the image that is dominated by the IR light. A computer program and a computer program carrier are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10924761
Abstract: A technique for encoding a privacy masked image comprising a plurality of pixels into an encoded image frame of a video stream is disclosed, The technique includes receiving image data of the image, wherein the image data represents the pixel of the image, grouping the pixels of the image into encoding units, wherein each encoding unit comprises a plurality of neighboring pixels; receiving data defining a privacy mask masking part of the image in the interest of personal integrity, and graphical characteristics of the privacy mask including any one or a combination of constant coloring, smearing, and pixelization, identifying all encoding units having one or more pixels located within the privacy mask, extending the privacy mask to be aligned with the identified encoding units to form a redefined privacy mask covering the identified encoding units, generating a privacy masked image by applying the redefined privacy mask and the received graphical characteristics to the image, and encoding the privacy masked i

  • Patent number: 10904560
Abstract: A method and device for encoding a plurality of image frames uses two separate encoders, where each image frame is divided into two portions to each be encoded by one of the two encoders, where a boundary between the two portions is offset between the image frames according to a size of a search window of one of the encoders. Consequently, copying of pixel data for the purpose of motion search is only required in one direction between a first and a second encoder.

  • Patent number: 10891712
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for displaying a video. A video stream including a plurality of image frames, wherein at least some image frames include an overlay, is received by a video management system. The video management system determines a position of the overlay within an image frame. The video management system applies an image adjustment function to the image frame to create an adjusted image frame. The image adjustment function uses the determined position of the overlay to adjust the image while keeping the appearance of the overlay essentially unchanged, and the video stream including the adjusted image frame is displayed.

  • Patent number: 10878678
Abstract: A method for remotely controlling a networked video camera includes sending an instruction message for the video camera, from the client to a communication controller, and determining whether the message is a candidate for being sent via a peer-to-peer connection. In response to the instruction message being determined not to be a candidate for being sent via a peer-to-peer connection, sending the instruction message from the communication controller to a camera control service, logging at the camera control service at least a portion of the instruction message, and sending the instruction message received at the camera control service from the camera control service to the video camera via the communication network. In response to the instruction message being determined to be a candidate for being sent via a peer-to-peer connection, the method further includes sending the instruction message via a peer-to-peer connection.
