Abstract: The invention relates to an aid for putting on an elastic stocking in particular. The aid comprises a substantially flat and flexible sheet body manufactured from a smooth material, which is provided with removal means to remove the aid from between a foot and a stocking arranged around it, and with connecting means arranged on opposite edges of the body, which when in use interact to interconnect the opposite edges, resulting in a tube-like body having a insertion side for the foot and an opposite foot section, whereby each connecting means comprises magnets which are attracted by corresponding magnets in the other connecting means. The aid is simpler and more convenient in use than the known aid.

Abstract: A plate type rotational centrifugal separator for separating one or more components of a feed stream includes a rotatable first outer carrier and a rotatable second inner carrier coaxially arranged in the first outer carrier. The first outer carrier supports one or more curved plates which are flexibly connected to the second inner carrier. A feeding arrangement disposed at one end of the separator supplies a feed stream to be separated, and a discharging arrangement disposed at the opposite end of the separator discharges separated streams. Confined spaces are defined between adjacent curved plates and the first outer and second inner carrier for separating the feed stream under influence of centrifugal forces. The first outer carrier is axially removable from the second inner carrier for removing components collected on the plates.

In another embodiment, a magnetic data storage system includes the magnetoresistive effect head described above.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a circuit-based apparatus that operates on an input data stream includes delay-line circuitry that characterizes the input data stream, modified over time. By combining the weighted signals from the parallel signal-processing circuit paths, the signal-combining circuit provides a signal representative of the input data stream.

Abstract: The present invention relates to unsaturated polyester resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester resin, a manganese compound, a 1,3-dioxo compound and a base; the molar ratio between the dioxo compound and the basic functionality of the base is from 170:1 to 1:30 and the resin composition being curable with a peroxide.
