Abstract: The invention relates to a rucola plant of the species Diplotaxis tenuifolia which may comprise a genetic determinant that leads to expression of resistance against Peronospora parasitica, which genetic determinant is obtainable from a Diplotaxis tenuifolia plant which may comprise said genetic determinant, representative seed of which was deposited with the NCIMB under deposit number NCIMB 41811. The invention further provides seeds that may grow into a plant that is resistant to Peronospora parasitica, to progeny of the rucola plant to propagation material suitable for producing the plant or seed and to parts of the plant and food products which may comprise the plant parts.

Abstract: A device receives, from mobile devices, scheduling requests for voice packets, and assigns grants to the scheduling requests. The device further determines whether there is network congestion in a network associated with the device. The device also selects a grant, from the grants, when there is network congestion, and drops a voice packets associated with the selected grant. The device assigns physical resource blocks (PRBs) to one or more of the grants that are associated with one or more of the voice packets that are not dropped.

Abstract: A network of chargers for a battery of an electric vehicle is disclosed, having a 1st power connection, a power converter, a 2nd power connection and at least a 3rd power connection for exchanging power with another charger. A controller is provided for controlling a power switch, and is configured to: connect the power converter to the 2nd power connection when a vehicle is to be charged from the power source, connect the power converter to the at least one 3rd power connection when power is to be delivered to another charger, and connect the at least one 3rd power connection to the 2nd power connection when power from another charger is to be delivered to the vehicle.

Abstract: A method for printing an image with colour pixels is disclosed. This method optimizes the print quality for a selected level of ink usage by maximizing a dot-off-dot strategy and separating between direct binary search dot patterns for a number of selected colorants in a printer comprising black colorant. Ink usage is controlled by determining the fraction of coinciding printer colorants that may be substituted by black colorant. The perceived error between the image pixels and the image dot pattern is minimized according to a human visual system model that excludes non-homogeneous patterns that affect the quality of the halftone textures. Dots for other colorants are processed independently and added to the obtained halftone dot pattern for the selected colorants.

Abstract: A method of controlling a switched mode converter is disclosed in which the switching frequency varies in proportion to the square of the sine of the phase of the input AC supply. Thus the switching frequency is a maximum, and the respective on period of the switch is a minimum, when the mains voltage is a maximum. Conversely, the switching frequency is reduced, and the respective on time of the switch is increased, when the mains voltage is reduced. Such a switching method provides for a high power factor. Implementation by means of a phase locked loop and a comparator may prevent the need for complex circuitry, and may provide for direct use of a digital controller or digital signal processing through a counter output in the phase locked loop. A controller configured to operate such a method, together with an AC/DC converter embodying such a controller are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for image processing a digital color image uses a single array of threshold values in a halftoning process if a total density value, which is found adding up the color density value for each of the process colors of a pixel, is lower than a predetermined density threshold. However, when the total density value exceeds the density threshold, the individual color density values are split in a basic part and an excess part, the basic parts adding up to the predetermined density threshold. In the halftoning process the basic parts still use the single array of threshold values, but the excess parts use uncorrelated arrays of threshold values that are associated with each individual process color. This provides for a balance between graininess at low color density and registration independent color rendering at high color density.

Abstract: In an ink jet printing method, a recording medium is moved relative to a print head having a plurality of nozzles, and ink droplets are ejected from the nozzles onto the recording medium in a single pass in accordance with print data supplied to the print head. Spit pattern data is included in the print data A location of an expected ink dot ejected according to the spit pattern data is scanned, providing a scanned image, and such ink dot is searched for in the scanned image in order to determine an actual presence of the ink dot.

The invention further relates to the parthenocarpic fruits, to seeds of the plants and to propagation material of the plant.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tape comprising from (i) about 75 wt % to about 99.9 wt % of a thermoplastic polyester, (ii) from about 0.1 wt % to about 25 wt % of a linear low-density polyethylene and (iii) from 0 wt % to about 5 wt % of other components, said tape having a thickness from 5 ?m to 300 ?m and a width from 0.5 mm to 7 mm. This tape shows no twinning and sticking to other tapes after slitting, has very good mechanical properties. When the tape is wound, bobbins having a regular shape can be obtained.

The device comprises at least two fiber or fiber composite material dispensing units (2, 3), the dispensing units being adapted to place a fiber (4) or a fiber composite material onto the surface of a toroid-shaped mandrel (5); positioning means to effectuate relative movement of the mandrel and the dispensing units during placement of the fiber or fiber composite material. The invention further relates to a method for producing a toroid-shaped fiber composite product, preferably with a concave cross-section, in particular the rim of a bicycle wheel. The method comprises providing a toroid-shaped mandrel, dispensing fibers or fiber composite material from at least two dispensing units, placing the fibers or fiber composite material onto the mandrel while effectuating a relative movement of the mandrel and the dispensing units, and reshaping at least part of the mandrel, preferably by thermoforming.

The disk-enclosure cover includes a substantially flat, plate-like portion that includes a periphery, and a peripheral flange that is disposed at the periphery. Abstract: In one embodiment, a circuit is provided. The circuit includes a low-ohmic circuit and a a power supply node configured and arranged for providing a supply voltage across the low-ohmic circuit to a load from which current can be drawn. The circuit also includes a current reference circuit, configured and arranged for setting a current reference level that is based on a portion of the current from the power supply node, and a current-sensing circuit. The current-sensing circuit senses and is responsive to current passing through the low-ohmic circuit. The current-sensing circuit operates in a normal mode, in which the current-sensing circuit senses an amount of current passing through the low ohmic circuit that is less than the current threshold level, and in an over-current mode, in which the current-sensing circuit senses an amount of current passing through the low ohmic circuit that is greater than the current threshold level.
