Abstract: An imprint lithography apparatus having a first frame to be mounted on a floor, a second frame mounted on the first frame via a kinematic coupling, an alignment sensor mounted on the second frame, to align an imprint lithography template arrangement with a target portion of a substrate, and a position sensor to measure a position of the imprint lithography template arrangement and/or a substrate stage relative to the second frame.

Abstract: A printing system includes a marking engine for applying a marking substance onto a sheet and a sheet conveying device. The sheet conveying device includes a belt arranged to carry sheets from an upstream end to a downstream end of a transport path, the belt having an array of perforations; an array of suction nozzles arranged below the belt for sucking-in ambient air through the perforations of the belt; and at least one blow nozzle arranged at the downstream end of the transport path for blowing out a gas through the perforations of the belt. The conveying device further includes an array of anti-friction blow nozzles interleaved with the array of suction nozzles and connected to a blower for blowing-out a gas towards the bottom surface of the belt during the traverse of the sheet along the marking engine.

Abstract: Object localization with an radio-frequency identification (RFID) infrastructure is described. A plurality of transmission power levels established by an RFID reader can be searched to determine a measurement power level corresponding to a target. A region that includes the target can then be determined using information about a physical relationship between the RFID reader and a reference location via correlating the measurement power level to a reference power level corresponding to the reference location.

Abstract: A method (and system) of processing image data in which a depth map is processed to derive a modified depth map by analysing luminance and/or chrominance information in respect of the set of pixels of the image data. The depth map is modified using a function which correlates depth with pixel height in the pixellated image and which has a different correlation between depth and pixel height for different luminance and/or chrominance values.

Abstract: A display device comprising picture elements, which are constituted by electrowetting elements having at least one first fluid and a second fluid immiscible with each other within a space between a first support plate and a second support plate, the second fluid being electro-conductive or polar. The first fluid in each element is at the side of the first support plate confined by element walls, and the second fluid is shared by a plurality of picture elements, characterised by a preventer for preventing first fluid portions from being expelled from its confinement when forces other than electrowetting forces are exerted on this fluid.

Abstract: A scaffold has an upright and a transverse tube connected to it, as well as a handrail tube connected to the transverse tube. The cross-section of the transverse tube is circular with an outer diameter and a flattened portion, which is present at a distance from the outer side of an opposite wall portion. The handrail tube is provided with a C-shaped recess with an inner diameter and a boundary wall which extends over an angle greater than 180 degrees, and of which the ends are at a distance from each other.

The articles also include a first compound, dispersed in the holographic recording medium or disposed over a first surface of the holographic recording medium from which surface the hologram is viewed, that is transparent to light in the wavelength range to which the photoreactive dye is sensitive and which is capable of being converted to a converted compound that is opaque to light in the wavelength range to which the photoreactive dye is sensitive and transparent to light in a different wavelength range for viewing the hologram.

Abstract: Techniques and equipment for enabling a cross-channel real time awareness framework for capturing and storing transaction data in real time for a user via an interface in a first channel of an enterprise are disclosed. The stored transaction data are made accessible to a second channel of the enterprise for processing transaction requests received from the user via an interface in the second channel, and, if desired, modify an interactive process flow associated with the interface in the second channel.

Abstract: A channel selection circuit in a serial audio communication device provides channel selection for insertion or extraction of data to or from a multiplexed serial data stream without the requirement of extra channel selection inputs. The channel selection circuit has multiple counters structured such that each counter represents a channel of the serial data stream. The input of each counter receives one of the multiple synchronizing timing signals. The input of the designated counter receives one timing signal that has the greatest frequency. The remaining counters receive the word select timing signals for determining which channel is being selected. A ready output of each counter is a channel indicator in communication with multiple signal selection circuits for selecting the multiple timing signals to be transferred to a data processing device for inserting or extracting data to or from the multiplexed serial data stream.

Provided is an isolated nucleic acid construct encoding a proteinaceous substance comprising, from the N-terminus to the C-terminus, at least (a) an N-terminal a lantibiotic leader sequence; (b) an amino acid sequence of interest to be post-translationally modified to a dehydroresidue- or thioether-bridge containing polypeptide; (c) a hydrophilic cell-wall spanning domain; (d) a sortase recognition motif; (e) a hydrophobic membrane spanning domain and (f) a C-terminal charged membrane anchoring domain.
