Abstract: An image processing device includes: a coordinate conversion unit (142) which calculates a corresponding sampling coordinate on a color mosaic image corresponding to a pixel position of a color image when a deformation process is performed, according to the pixel position of the color image; a sampling unit (143); a sampling unit (143) which interpolates-generates a pixel value in a sampling coordinate for each of color planes obtained by decomposing the color mosaic image; and a color generation unit (144) which generates a color image by synthesizing interpolation values of the respective color planes. Each pixel value of a color image subjected to a deformation process is obtained as a pixel value of the sampling coordinate from the color mosaic image by interpolation calculation, thereby realizing the color interpolation process for generating a color image from the color mosaic image and a deformation process of the color image by one interpolation calculation.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dimmer control circuit (100) capable to detect whether a phase-cut dimmer is connected using an average signal (VDCI) derived from the mains voltage. The average signal (VDCI) or a signal (VDCI_ls) derived from (VDCI), ranging from a minimum value to a maximum value, is compared to a dimming threshold (Vdim_th) through a phase-cut detecting unit (20). The comparison result is used to control the state diagram of a dimmer control logic (40) by selecting the step dimming mode (STD) or the phase-cut dimming mode (PCD). The output (OUT) of a switching unit (30) is determined by the state diagram of the dimmer control logic (40) in such a manner that the phase-cut dimming mode (PCD) is prioritized above the step-dimming mode (STD) and the maximum level of the STD states is depending on the mains voltage and application adjustable.

Abstract: A vacuumed device that includes: a sealed housing, an electron beam source, an electron optic component, a thin membrane, and a detector. The thin membrane seals an aperture of the sealed housing. The sealed housing defines a vacuumed space in which vacuum is maintained. The electron beam source is configured to generate an electron beam that propagates within the vacuumed space, interacts with the electron optic component and passes through the thin membrane. A first portion of the sealed housing is shaped to fit a space defined by non-vacuumed scanning electron microscope components that are maintained in a non-vacuum environment.

An embodiment of the invention also discloses a method for providing a Brassica oleracea plant with a resistance to Mycosphaerella brassicicola, including providing a first B. oleracea plant, which plant includes a resistance gene to M. brassicicola; crossing the resistant plant with a susceptible second B. oleracea plant; isolating from the progeny genomic DNA for detecting the presence of an introgression with the resistance gene using one or more specific DNA markers linked to the resistance gene; and selecting from the progeny a B. oleracea plant in which the presence of the introgression with the resistance gene has been demonstrated.
Abstract: A head slider for a disk drive storage device. The head slider is adapted to fly at the target height above the disk, reduce contamination by preventing particles from being trapped under the head slider, fly well in helium at low velocity and obtain a manufacturing tolerance so that multiple head sliders may be produced and function properly. The head slider has an internal cavity that is substantially enclosed by the air bearing surface. There are two gaps in the air bearing surface that are misaligned relative to the leading edge. The gaps aid in preventing particles from entering the cavity.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement (10) for ground fault monitoring of an AC circuit between, on one hand, a neutral conductor (N?) of the AC circuit and, on the other hand, a protective ground wire (PE) or a ground wire with a series connection of ohmic resistors (R1, R2, R3), which has a first terminal (101) for the neutral conductor (N?) and a second terminal (102) for the protective ground wire (PE) or ground wire, wherein the arrangement includes at least one means for detecting a break of one of the resistors (R1, R2, R3) of the series connection.
Abstract: A silicon/gold (Si/Au) bilayer seed structure is located in a film stack between an amorphous or crystalline lower layer and an upper layer with a well-defined crystalline structure. The seed structure includes a Si layer on the generally flat surface of the lower layer and a Au layer on the Si layer. The Si/Au interface initiates the growth of the Au layer with a face-centered-cubic (fcc) crystalline structure with the (111) plane oriented in-plane. The upper layer grown on the Au layer has a fcc or hexagonal-close-packed (hcp) crystalline structure. If the upper layer is a fcc material its [111] direction is oriented substantially perpendicular to the (111) plane of the Au layer and if the upper layer is a hcp material, its c-axis is oriented substantially perpendicular to the (111) plane of the Au layer.
Abstract: The present invention is related to a switched-mode power supply. It is also related to a LED lighting system and driver which comprise such a switched-mode power supply. In addition, the present invention is related to a method for electrically driving a load. According to the present invention, the switched-mode power supply is switched from a charging state, in which an energy storage is charged, to a discharging state, in which the energy storage feeds a load, when a current limit has been exceeded. This current limit is set proportional to an instantaneous voltage outputted by the rectifier.
Abstract: A mobile communication device (1, 10) comprises shielding components that provide electromagnetic shielding or attenuation between a first area (A) and a second area (B, B1, B2) within and/or external of the communication device (1, 10). In said first area (A) an antenna (4) and at least one ferrite (6) are arranged, which ferrite (6) is provided to interact with said antenna (4) and to guide a magnetic flux between said first area (A) and said second area (B, B1, B2).
Abstract: Avoiding contaminant generation within a hard disk drive due to increased temperatures during a solder reflow process is described. Energy from a beam of energy that is directed toward a plurality of polyimide regions is received. Each of the plurality of polyimide regions are disposed adjacent to at least one solder pad. The plurality of polyimide regions and the at least one solder pad comprises a first component of a hard disk drive. Then, a portion of the energy is reflected away from the plurality of polyimide regions to prevent an absorption of the portion by the plurality of polyimide regions and a burning of the plurality of polyimide regions.
