Abstract: A method for processing a carcass part of slaughtered poultry, the carcass part including bone parts with at least a part of the rib cage and a part of the spine, at least a part of the back meat that is naturally present on the rib cage and the spine, and at least a part of the abdominal muscle tissue, the method includes making a first incision through the back meat near the abdominal muscle tissue at least up to the underlying bone parts of the carcass part, and detaching the back meat from the bone parts of the carcass part. A device is provided to perform the method.

Abstract: This invention relates to the controlled acidification of food products, like dairy products, meat etc. By acidification, food products are protected against harmful microbiological cultures and food can get a certain texture, e.g. the coagulation of dairy products or the drying and texture formation of dried sausages. The invention comprises a new method of acidifying food products in a controlled way. Abstract: Combined echo and crosstalk cancellation is provided. Frequency domain adaptive filters are used to remove or reduce the effects of echo and crosstalk for a multi-channel and full-duplex communications system. Data from each transmit channel is buffered and converted to the frequency domain. The frequency domain data is multiplied by crosstalk coefficients to obtain a frequency domain correction signal for each channel. Adaptation of the crosstalk coefficients is based on correlations between the error signals and the data from each of the transmit channels. A single frequency domain transform engine, such as a Fast Fourier Transform engine, is employed for all calculations to save power and area.

The biodegradable material comprises about 50 to about 100 wt. % of opened starch, destructurized starch or a mixture of opened starch, based on the total weight of the biodegradable material, the biodegradable material having a bulk density of 1.0 to 1.5 kg/dm3. The kinetic implant has a length :diameter ratio of more than 4, provided that the length of the kinetic implant is between 1 mm to 50 mm. The kinetic implant has a weight such that it can be provided with an amount of kinetic energy in the range of 0.1 to 10 J.

Abstract: An aircraft cabin lighting kit includes: at least one lighting unit configured for installation in an aircraft cabin; a driving/dimming module generating output signals for controlling illumination of the at least one lighting unit according to command signals from a cabin management system; and at least one wire assembly interfacing the driving/dimming module with a power bus for receiving operational power, and a communication bus for receiving the command signals and for communicating the output signals to the at least one lighting unit. The present aircraft cabin lighting kit is certified by a governmental aviation-regulating body for installation in multiple aircraft.
Abstract: A method of fabricating a c-aperture or E-antenna plasmonic near field source for thermal assisted recording applications in hard disk drives is disclosed. A c-aperture or E-antenna is built for recording head applications. The technique employs e-beam lithography, partial reactive ion etching and metal refill to build the c-apertures. This process strategy has the advantage over other techniques in the self-alignment of the c-aperture notch to the c-aperture internal diameter, the small number of process steps required, and the precise and consistent shape of the c-aperture notch itself.
