Patent number: 9906511Abstract: Techniques of performing impersonation detection involve using encrypted access request data. Along these lines, an impersonation detection server stores historical access request data only in encrypted form and has no way to decrypt such data. When a new access request is received by a client, the client sends the username associated with the request to the server, which in turns sends the client the encrypted historical access request data. In addition, the server sends the client instructions to perform impersonation detection. The client then carries out the instructions based on the encrypted historical access request data and data contained in the new access request.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2015Date of Patent: February 27, 2018Assignees: Bar-Ilan University, EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Eyal Kolman, Alon Kaufman, Yehuda Lindell, Binyamin Pinkas

Patent number: 9288045Abstract: A method for providing spectral and temporal stealthy information transmitted over an optical communication channel, according to which, at the transmitting side, the power spectral density of a pulse sequence bearing the information is reduced by encrypting the temporal phase of the pulse sequence. The power of the pulse sequence is spread in the frequency domain, to be below the noise level, by sampling the pulse sequence. Spectral phase encoding is used to temporally spread the pulse sequence and to prevent coherent addition of its spectral replicas in frequency domain. The resulting signal, encrypted both in time and frequency domains, is then transmitted. Spectral phase decoding is performed at the receiving side by performing coherent detection and folding all the spectral replicas of the transmitted signal to the baseband by means of sampling. The temporal phase of the signal is decrypted and the information which is delivered by the pulse sequence is decoded.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2012Date of Patent: March 15, 2016Assignees: Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Research and Development Authority, Bar-Ilan UniversityInventors: Dan Sadot, Zeev Zalevsky, Tomer Yeminy
