Abstract: A spin pack for spinning multiple components includes a distribution device which distributes mutually separated molten polymer streams to a spinneret so that each mutually separated molten polymer stream is accessible at each active spinneret backhole. Intermediate the spinneret and the distribution device, a selection assembly selects which, if any, mutually separated molten polymer stream flows into which backhole.

Abstract: In a cassette for tape recording media, having a housing and one or more pegs which are molded as an integral part on the inner surface of the housing and help to determine the running of the tape recording medium, an accumulation of material arranged non-centrosymmetrically with respect to the mid-point of the base, for example an annular segment-like raised area and/or recess or support ribs having unequal volumes, is or are provided around the base of the peg, in order to set the predetermined vertical alignment of the peg. The peg can be, in particular, the spindle of a mobile tape guide element. A process for the production of such a peg by means of a special mold insert is likewise a subject of the invention. The invention can advantageously be used in all types of tape cassettes, such as film, audio, video, data and typewriter cassettes.
Abstract: The method is directed to the preparation of dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethyl-naphtho[2,1-b]furan from sclareol using an alkoxy-radical fragmentation reaction. A novel 9-haloethyl decalin derivative is an intermediate in this method.
Abstract: The present invention relates to water blown integral skin polyurethane foams. These foams are prepared using a diphenylmethane diisocyanate:polytetrahydrofuran prepolymer. The polyurethane foams prepared with this prepolymer exhibit improved abrasion resistance and cold flex characteristics when compared to water blown integral skin foams prepared without the prepolymer. These foams are suitable for use in shoe sole applications.

Abstract: A suction roller arrangement for transporting web-form material consisting of a roller body in the form of a hollow cylinder of porous sintered metal, the inner space beneath the looping angle of the web being under reduced pressure. The problem of converting the torque required to transport the web with minimal reduced pressure while, at the same time, protecting the surface of the web is solved by making the pore diameter in the middle cylindrical zone of the roller larger than in the two peripheral zones and by giving the outer cylinder surface of the roller a smooth surface finish by lathe-turning, grinding and polishing. The stator in the inner space of the rotatable roller is polygonal in shape in the region of the looping angle and has different distances from the rotor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the microbiological decontamination of soil, in which1) the contaminated soil is excavated and treated,2) the treated soil is banked up on a prepared subsoil in the form of regeneration clamps, and3) the clamps are provided with oxygen while microbiological degradation of the contaminants takes place. The method comprises mixing the contaminated soil with, preferably contaminated, concrete and/or building rubble, before the mixture is banked up in the form of regeneration clamps, the concrete and/or building rubble having been comminuted before mixing to a particle size of .ltoreq.10 mm, preferably .ltoreq.6 mm.The method according to the invention makes possible, within a short time, decontamination even of soils whose permeability for air and water is only low, and also of soils where the distribution of contaminants is highly inhomogeneous, or where the concentration of contaminants is very high.
