    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for coating metal strip in the coil coating process. The coating materials employed consist of:a) 3 to 50% by weight, preferably 20 to 40% by weight, of polyester imide resins, the 20 to 60% by weight solutions of which possess viscosities from 90 to 4,000 mPas at 23.degree. C. and the hydroxyl values of which are in the region from 50 to 300,b) 3 to 40% by weight, preferably 10 to 30% by weight, of pigments and/or fillers,c) up to 3% by weight of suitable auxiliary substances and additives andd) 10 to 90% by weight, preferably 20 to 60% by weight, of one or more organic solvents,the sum of a), b), c) and d) being 100% by weight. The invention further relates to the use of the metal strip produced by the process according to the invention for production of exhaust components.

C. up to a weight average molecular weight of from 2000 to 50000, are used in amounts of from 0.05 to 15% by weight as grayness inhibitors and soil release promoters in detergents.

    Abstract: A two component composition suitable for coating a substrate comprises at least one crosslinker having a functionality thereon which is reactive with a functionality on at least one film forming polymer present in a separate component of the composition. The crosslinker comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of: (1) an isocyanurate of isophorone diisocyanate; (2) a derivative of an isocyanurate of isophorone diisocyanate; (3) a biuret of isophorone diisocyanate; and (4) a derivative of a biuret of isophorone diisocyanate. The composition preferably comprises a blend of the this crosslinker with a second crosslinker, wherein the second crosslinker is at least one member selected from the group consisting of: (1) an isocyanurate of hexamethylene diisocyanate; (2) a derivative of an isocyanurate of hexamethylene diisocyanate; (3) a biuret of hexamethylene diisocyanate; and (4) a derivative of a biuret of hexamethylene diisocyanate.
