Abstract: Polyamide molding materials having high heat distortion resistance for the production of blow-molded articles contain essentially two highly viscous polyamides which are homogeneously miscible with one another and have melting points which differ by 10.degree.-50.degree. C., the amount of the polyamide having the low melting point being from 5 to 40% by weight and the amount of that having the high melting point being from 60 to 95% by weight.

Abstract: A luster pigment is described which is made up of a metal oxide film on a colored platelet-like support. The support is a pigment having a length of 3-150 .mu.m, a width of 3-150 .mu.m, and a thickness of 0.1-2 .mu.m. A process is described for the preparation of the pigment in which an organic platelet-like pigment is coated with a metal-oxide film by chemical vapor deposition. The preferred platelet-like organic pigment is .beta.-copper phthalocyanine.

Abstract: Radiation-crosslinkable contact adhesive mixtures are prepared from polymers having a glass transition temperature of less than 0.degree. Abstract: A cementing composition useful in cementing oil, gas and water wells, comprising water, hydraulic cement and an effective amount of water soluble fluid loss additive comprised of a blend of a copolymer of acrylamide/vinyl imidazole in a weight percent ratio of from about 95:5 to 5:95, said copolymer having a molecular weight range of from about 100,000 to 3,000,000, and a terpolymer of acrylamide/acrylamidomethylpropane sulfonic acid sodium salt/vinyl imidazole in a weight percent ratio of 60:20:20, said terpolymer having a molecular weight range of from about 100,000 to 3,000,000. The blend is comprised of a weight percent ratio of copolymer to terpolymer in the range of 20:80 to 80:20. The composition can also optionally include a dispersant such as sodium or potassium salts or a sulfonated naphthalene formaldehyde condensate.

Abstract: A storage container, for example for flat recording media, comprises a lid part (1), a bottom part (2) and a pocket (28) on the lid part (1). The entire container consists of two parts, the lid part (1) together with the pocket (28) being produced as one piece. To guide the lid part (1) during swiveling and to open the pocket (28) during swiveling, an arcuate edge portion (14) having a elongate guide element (11) is provided laterally on the pocket, the arcuate edge portion and the spreading element entering an arcuate guide (16) with a tangential part for spreading and locking purposes. The manufactured spatial form of the lid part (1) having a pocket front wall (5) offset at an angle is an advantageous special feature. The container is suitable for FlexyDisks.RTM., video disks, gramophone disks, cassettes, etc.

Abstract: A color-stabilized food coloring composition is disclosed. The composition contains beta-carotene dispersions, at least one edible oil and dl-alpha-tocopherol. When applied to a dry food substrate, the composition has enhanced color stability. Also disclosed are coated substrates and a method of coating substrates with the color-stabilized food coloring compositions.
