    Abstract: A liftgate is provided with a modular sensor housing that spans a substantial portion of the width of the liftgate. The sensor housing has a plurality of rearward-facing apertures adapted to permit the cameras and/or proximity sensors from the vehicle to “see” through the housing. The sensor housing incorporates a plurality of sensor mounting brackets specifically adapted to the particular configuration of the vehicle sensors. The modular sensor housing enables a liftgate to be installed without disabling the rearview camera and proximity sensors.

    Abstract: Improved object wrapping materials exhibiting a number of beneficial properties to overcome prior deficiencies are provided. Such properties include the inclusion of a separation interface overlay that allows for greater rigidity at the leading and trailing edges of such wraps. Also, the inclusion of shear-reducing wrap material portions is described, as well as recoil reduction structures within the leading edge regions. Furthermore, core adhesive additions allow for greater resiliency to the base wrap material as it unwinds therefrom, reducing potential waste wrap products by permitting greater amounts of wrap materials in use. Other considerations include the ability, through proper configuration designs, to position a wrap separation indicator within a certain range of distances from the trailing edge, thereby providing greater reliability of wrap application device disengagement during wrap application.

    Abstract: Composite recoil-absorbing stocks for firearms are disclosed. One stock has a rigid body that has an internal cavity. A compressible insert may be positioned in the rigid body with an elongated front end that is narrower than a broadened rear end. The front end is positioned in a narrowed front end of the internal cavity, and the rear end is positioned in a wider rear end of the cavity. When the firearm recoils, the compressible insert can be positioned between the shooter and the rest of the firearm and can therefore dampen and absorb recoil forces. The positioning and size of the rigid body and compressible insert help prevent bending and buckling of the compressible insert, thereby limiting the effect that the compression of the insert has on aiming and accuracy of the shot. Other embodiments and related methods are also disclosed.

Each biosignal is created in response to a user imagining an intended direction for each time segment. An object is moved along an actual decoded direction determined by an output of a decoder configured to correlate for each time segment the at least one feature to the intended direction. The decoder self-calibrates to minimize for each time segment, an error between the actual decoded direction, and the intended direction inferred subsequent to the respective time segment.

    Abstract: Knives configured to use interchangeable blades, blades for those knives, and methods of making an using the knives and blades are disclosed. One knife includes a latch assembly that retains a blade in a slot of the latch assembly using a dual-stage locking mechanism wherein two different latches must be operated to exchange the blade in the slot. One latch is a button that translates a pin through the slot, and the other latch is a rocker lever that rotates into and out of contact with a notch, recess, or groove in the blade. The first latch controls movement of the second latch in order to help avoid inadvertent removal or dislodgement of the blade. Some blades include multiple notches or recesses so that they provide multiple points of contact that resist translation and rotation of the blade out of the slot, even when subjected to unusually-directed forces.

    Abstract: An arrow with a non-circular central bore may allow for differential flexural rigidity in the shaft. A non-circular central bore, such as in the form of a bore with a rounded polygon, or more specifically a reuleaux triangle, may also provide self-alighting features when paired with a nock or arrowhead with similar shaped elements. This may allow a user to properly nock an arrow without resorting to manual alignment of the nock and fletchings. The central bore may extend along an entirety of the shaft, or only along a portion of the shaft. The non-circular central bore may be incorporated in an arrow shaft with a round exterior cross section, or with an arrow with a non-circular exterior cross section, such as in the form of a rounded polygon, or more specifically a reuleaux triangle.
