Abstract: An archery accessory, such as an archery sight, may attach to a riser of a bow along a centerline plane of the riser. This positioning may prevent or reduce any change in balance of the bow. The archery sight may include a sight element that may be adjusted in a horizontal direction by a horizontal adjustment system and in a vertical direction by one or more vertical adjustment systems.
Abstract: A desolidification process enables the isolation and extraction of solid additives from an unreacted petroleum residue stream. In a hydrocracking process that mixes a solid additive with a petroleum residue feedstock to convert the petroleum residue to higher-value distillates, the desolidification process enables the recovery of the unreacted petroleum residue for conversion to a saleable product. The desolidification process involves the mixture of one or more solvents with a slurry in which solids are integrated in the petroleum residue to generate a mixture having a decreased density and viscosity as compared to the slurry, which facilitates removal of the solids.

Abstract: Processes and systems for fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) of hydrocarbon feeds using a multiple riser FCC reactor are described. The conditions in each riser can be tailored for handling a different feed. For example, one riser may be configured to crack heavy hydrocarbons, such as vacuum gas oil (VGO) to yield medium and light products. Other risers may be configured to crack low and/or medium hydrocarbons to yield light olefins. Embodiments of the disclosed processes and systems may be used to provide a product spectrum that has greater amounts of light olefins.
Abstract: A process of dissociating ammonia into a dissociated hydrogen/nitrogen stream in catalyst tubes within a radiant tube furnace and an adiabatic or isothermal unit containing catalyst, along with downstream purification process units to purify the dissociated hydrogen/nitrogen stream into high purity hydrogen product.

Abstract: A method includes, as a robot encounters an object, creating a probabilistic object model to identify, localize, and manipulate the object, the probabilistic object model using light fields to enable efficient inference for object detection and localization while incorporating information from every pixel observed from across multiple camera locations.
Abstract: A reactor system and method for catalytic dehydrogenation of saturated C3-C6 hydrocarbons within a reactor placed within a reactor disengager, where the reactor is open at the bottom thereof and open to the disengager, and the exit riser from the reactor is not hard coupled to at least one downstream cyclone. This configuration permits controlling the amount of catalyst within the reactor by varying the level of catalyst in the reactor disengager outside the reactor and permits controlling total catalyst hold-up and/or weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) independently from catalyst flow from the catalyst regenerator.

Abstract: Methods and systems for treating an olefin-containing stream are disclosed. The disclosed methods and systems are particularly suitable for treating an off-gas stream in a refining or petrochemical process, such as from a fluid catalytic cracker (FCC), coker, steam cracker, and the like. The stream is treated in an absorber column to reject lighter stream components and to absorb ethylene and/or propylene into a solvent. The solvent is typically isobutane. The enriched solvent stream from the absorber column is fed to an alkylation reactor, which reacts the dissolved olefin with the isobutane solvent to produce an alkylate product.

Abstract: Carbon capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) gives an extracted CO2 stream that is reacted with hydrogen to produce methanol (MeOH), which can in turn be fed to catalytic production of olefins such as ethylene and propylene to give an integrated process.
Abstract: A system includes an array of chemical, pressure, and temperature sensors, and a temporal airflow modulator configured to provide sniffed vapors in a temporally-modulated sequence through a plurality of different air paths across multiple sensor locations.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preventing, delaying or reversing age-associated inflammation, by administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of at least one reverse transcriptase inhibitor (RTI).
Abstract: The invention provides methods for computing with chemicals by encoding digital data into a plurality of chemicals to obtain a dataset; translating the dataset into a chemical form; reading the data set; querying the dataset by performing an operation to obtain a perceptron; and analyzing the perceptron for identifying chemical structure and/or concentration of at least one of the chemicals, thereby developing a chemical computational language. The invention demonstrates a workflow for representing abstract data in synthetic metabolomes. Also presented are several demonstrations of kilobyte-scale image data sets stored in synthetic metabolomes, recovered at >99% accuracy.

Abstract: The present invention discloses new catalyst systems based on trivalent metal complexes of Formula I, which can facilitate the stereospecific ring-opening polymerization of (rac)-?-Butyrolactone (rac-BBL). Also provided is a process for the stereospecific synthesis of aliphatic polyesters using the catalysts of Formula I, including alcohols and polyols as chain-transfer agents to facilitate immortal ring-opening polymerization.
Abstract: A system for forming a pressware product comprises rollers, a scoring tool, a scoring station actuator, a forming tool, and a forming station actuator. The rollers pull the web along a path having an angle. The scoring tool receives the material from the rollers and includes a vertically shiftable scoring punch with an edge that extends about an outline of the pressware product and a striker plate. The scoring station actuator shifts the scoring tool to form a slot in the web. The forming tool receives the scored web and includes a vertically shiftable positive mold assembly and negative mold assembly. The forming station actuator shifts the positive mold assembly to press against the web and form the pressware product.

Abstract: A valve unit may include a valve and a sensor assembly coupled to the valve. The valve may include a check disk configured to move along a pre-determined path to contact a valve seat in a closed state and configured to decouple from the valve seat in an open state. The valve may also include a mechanism to restrain lateral movement of the check disk to prevent the check disk from sticking. The sensor assembly may include a position sensor configured to generate a first electrical signal related to movement of the check disk and may include circuitry coupled to the position sensor. The position sensor assembly may generate a reference signal to eliminate noise within the first electrical signal. The circuitry may determine fluid flow parameters including flow volume of liquid components and of gas components of the fluid mixture based on frequency components within the first electrical signal.
