Abstract: A multipurpose miniature hand tool includes two casings defining an outer housing. A roll of measuring tape, two scissor blades, and an elongated snap-off blade are extendably and retractably mounted within the outer housing. Each of the scissor blades are restricted to be movable only along one of the casings. A cap bolt extends through a lengthwise extending slide slot of each of the casings and through a pivot hole of each of the scissor blades and engages threadably with a nut for fastening tightly the casings and the scissor blades thereon. When the nut is somewhat loosed from the bolt, the nut and the bolt can slide along the slide slots of the casings together with the scissor blades, thereby permitting the scissor blades to extend partially out of the outer housing. At that time, the casings from the movable handles of a pair of scissors.
Abstract: A competitive game device having mainly a plurality of balls, two sets of obliquely mounted tubes, at least two slidable blocks slidably mounted on two sets of horizontal guide rails and connected with bellow-shaped tubes so that a player can deflect the balls put into the tubes by an opponent player to a winning basket of the player. Stopper means is also provided on each of the tubes so that the players can deposit some balls at selected tubes and thereafter open the stopper means at a selected time. A pivotably mounted ball collecting means, a pointer, and a scale are also provided.
Abstract: The bottle closure opener of the present invention has a bottle body cramping unit mounted on a vertically movable platform within a housing having an open front and a top wall, and a bottle cap gripping unit fixedly mounted on said top wall. The cramp members of the bottle body cramping unit and the grip member of the bottle cap gripping unit are simultaneously controlled by a single clutch switch lever which drivingly connects to a reversible motor through a single clutch unit to move said cramp members either towards or away from each other and said movable platform to move either upwardly or downwardly; and said grip members to rotate counterclockwise to effect the subsequent gripping and opening of the cap.
Abstract: A windmill apparatus includes: a frame body structure adapted to be positioned on a flat top of a construction; a main shaft vertically installed in the middle of the frame body structure; a first main-shaft sleeve rotatably coupled with a lower part of the main shaft; a belt pulley fixed around a lower end of the first main-shaft sleeve; a rotation control device with a revolving arrangement rotatably installed around the first main-shaft sleeve; a direction control device installed in a closed upper portion of the frame body structure and mechanically coupled with the rotation control device for automatically effecting wind direction change; and a wind direction indicating device rotatably installed on top of the frame body structure and movably coupled with the direction control device for relaying wind direction change therefrom; thereby, wind force can be effectively utilized with minimal manufacturing cost.
Abstract: A superminiature camera, of the type using a conventional 110 film cassette with a first gear for film advance, has an extensible camera body. The camera body includes a rotary side wall, normally releasably fastened to the upper wall and when in use rotatable about its lower side to a horizontal position, including a second gear on the inner surface of the rotary side wall, and a rotary knob integrated with the second gear; an upper wall; a lower wall; an extensible rear wall, slidably engaged with the upper and lower walls, extensible firstly outwardly for entrance into the camera body of the film cassette, subsequently contractible inwardly to clamp the film container and simultaneously to urge the first and second gears to mesh with each other for film advancing; and a viewfinder with a contractible eyepiece and a contractible objective piece.
Abstract: An apparatus used for the paper clip making machine downstream of the cutting machine comprises, a set of conveyors including continuous belt continuous chains, transferring wheels for advancing the cut wires, pieces of magnet properly located on the conveyors for attracting and arraying the cut wire in a proper orientation, three annular members spaced apart and mounted for rotation on the same axis, each of the annular members having a plurality of forming die member on the rim thereof for receiving and engaging cut wires, three segmented ring members of different lengths provided along the circumferences of corresponding annular members, ramming means provided at two sides of the annular member assembly adapted to exert bending forces on cut wires in the direction parallel to the axis of the annular member, the die members intermittently rising from the rim of the annular member to cooperate with the ramming means to bend the cut wires about the segmented ring members.
Abstract: In a method and installation for providing a stable mixture of heavy oil and water to an oil burner, heavy oil is supplied from a storage tank to an oil tank where it is maintained at a selected pressure and a temperature of 35.degree.-45.degree. C. Water is supplied from a water source to a water tank where it is maintained at a selected pressure and a temperature of 30.degree.-40.degree. C. Oil from the oil tank and water from the water tank are pumped into and through an agitator at a pressure of 3.5-5.5 kg/cm.sup.2 while maintaining the temperature of the oil and water above 30.degree. C. The agitator comprises a cylindrical casing containing a first set of static disc-like elements having inclined holes to produce a swirling motion of the oil-water and a second set of static disc-like elements each having a central protruding dome portion surrounded by a rim portion.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wall clambering toy having both improved layout of its frame and the structure of its sucker, thereby increasing the security of the attachment of the toy to the wall, enhancing the activity, and reducing the power consumption thereof.
Abstract: Golf club swing training apparatus includes an upwardly extending support consisting of a fixed lower part and a forwardly-tiltable upper part, and a back holding member, adjustable in length and a waist holding member which members are each rotatably mounted on the upper part at a mid portion thereof for turning motion about the axis of said upper part. A strap is provided at the ends of each holding member for attaching the back holding member to the upper part of the golfer's arms and the waist holding member to the golfer's waist.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically switching a circuit to regulate artificial light in an area. The artificial light is turned on by a person entering the area and reflecting an ultrasonic wave pattern toward a receiver. The light is turned off by a person moving into contactless proximity of a capacitance comparison circuit which utilizes the capacitance of the human body as one of the circuit elements. The ultrasonic circuit operates at different levels of sensitivity, depending upon the existing available light in the area, such as during daylight hours. Optionally, a capacitance comparison circuit may be utilized for both turning on and turning off of the artificial light.
