Abstract: A stepper includes a base frame, two swing arms, two hydraulic cylinders and an adjustment assembly. Each of the swing arms is mounted pivotally on the base frame at one end and carries a pedal on the other end. Each of the hydraulic cylinders is mounted pivotally on one of the pedals at one end and on the base frame at the other end. The adjustment assembly is disposed on the base frame and permits adjustments in the angular displacement of the pedals.

Abstract: A process for producing fuel oil and gas by cracking waste rubber, comprising the reaction of about 2-6 parts catalyst with about 40 parts waste rubber, wherein the catalyst consists of 15%-25% by wt. of CaO, 40%-60% by wt. of Ni, 20%-40% by wt. of XT-10, and traces of Nb and Ti. The reactant is heated to about 280.degree. C. while the pressure of the reactor is increased to about 2 kg/cm.sup.2. The gas products are filtered, condensed, and fractioned into light oil, heavy oil and gas for respective storage. The total reaction time is about 2 hours.

Abstract: A water and energy efficient automatic flushing device is used to control water flow from a water inlet pipe to a flushing conduit of a plumbing fixture, such as a toilet bowl. The automatic flushing device includes an electromagnetic valve unit and a control unit to control opening and closing action of the electromagnetic valve unit. The control unit includes a programmed central processing unit (CPU), a transmitter circuit, a detecting unit to detect the presence of a person using the plumbing fixture, a receiver circuit and a valve control circuit. The valve control circuit opens the valve unit to initiate a first flushing action after confirming that the plumbing fixture is in use, and to initiate a second flushing action after verifying that the person using the plumbing fixture has departed. The receiver circuit can distinguish if a received signal was reflected by a person using the plumbing fixture or by a hand that was placed directly in front of the detecting unit.

Abstract: A pacifier thermometer of the present invention is made of plastic material, preferably silicone, having a cover to protect a nipple, a frame having a hole at the center portion that is concentric with both an annular projection at the convex side and a stop shoulder formed between the hole and the projection, a nipple having an inner hole at the top closed end and a circumferential flange at the bottom open end, an electronic compartment having a cap with an extending nodule at the center portion of one side that has a concentric hole formed in the nodule, a shell with a transparent window, and a circuit board that includes a chip, an LCD, and a speaker. When sensing temperature, the sensor sends the signal to the chip, which decodes the signal into a frequency signal, and then sends the frequency signal to a comparator for comparison with a prestored frequency range. The comparator then displays the reading on the LCD.

Abstract: A method for aging a fermented product includes the steps of: (a) cooling the fermented product in a container; (b) introducing ozone in the cooled fermented product for oxidation; and (c) applying an ultrasonic vibration to the container to vibrate and heat the fermented product in step (b) for oxidizing the fermented product. An aging device for a fermented product includes: an aging tank for containing the fermented product, the aging tank having an inlet and an outlet for the fermented product; an ozone supplying unit having an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe which are connected to the aging tank; a cooling unit mounted to the aging tank; an ultrasonic vibration unit mounted to the aging tank; and a thermometer mounted on the aging tank to detect the temperature of the fermented product.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a candle, wherein the butter oil is added to a solidified oil and mixed therewith to become solidified and form a wax-like state of fat which serves as the material of a candle by means of technical temperature and dissolving degree control; when the mixture is burned, no smoke or toxic particles are produced and an odor is released; the butter oil (a hundred percent pure vegetable oil) includes the following components: coconut oil, palm oil, palm olein and hydrogenate of palm oil, etc.; the as paimitic thereof is 0.1% at most, the melting point is within 35.degree. -37.degree. C.; emulsifier is added therein and the flavor is like butter; the additives are citric acid BHA and BHT .beta.-cartene; the specification of the solidified oil is as follows: A.V. is below 0.5, I.V. is below 2.0, S.V. is 195-198, melting point is 60.degree. C+1.degree. C. and water and impurity are below 0.1%.

Abstract: An antitheft device for attachment to a steering wheel of an automobile comprising a trough member defining a trough with an open top for engaging from under a section of the steering wheel, a handle secured to a shaft and rotatable between a locking position with the handle extending radially outwardly across the open top of the trough and an unlocking position with the handle removed from the trough and a lock mechanism associated with the trough member to lock the handle in the locking position.

Abstract: A digitizer/stylus combination comprises a digitizer board and a stylus, thereby the stylus operating on the digitizer board and generating a corresponding image on a screen of a personal computer. The stylus has an LED (light emitting diode) disposed thereon and emits infrared light which includes a series of light spots. The digitizer board has a pair of reflectors disposed in two adjacent sides thereof, a pair of focusing lenses disposed opposite to the reflectors for focusing the light from the reflectors and a pair of CCD image receivers disposed behind the focusing lenses respectively for receiving an X beam and Y beam emitted from a light spot, thereby obtaining a real position of a light spot. The stylus further comprises two keys for application software use.

Abstract: A battery charger comprising an indicator unit which has control switch and indicator lamps, and three charging slots for charging a variety of batteries of different size and specification, wherein one of the charging slots has vertical guide rails for holding the battery inserted therein and positive and negative charging pins and charging terminals, each of the other two charging slots has plate springs and wire spring for holding different size of battery in charging position and charging pins or charging strip springs for charging the battery inserted therein.

Abstract: A composite semiconductive thermoelectric refrigerating module comprises dozens or hundreds composite P-N couples which are electrically connected in series to form an array of required configuration which is fixed with electrical and thermal insulator and combined with the heat absorber and a thermal radiator, respectively, by thermoconductive greased films of electrical insulation. The refrigerating device is characterized by a good conductor sandwiched between the semiconductor head parts of a thermoelectric element by surface-to-surface brazing. This device can be substituted for small sized vapor compression refrigerating devices. The first embodiment of the invention is of circular configuration, while the second embodiment is rectangular. Other embodiments of specific configurations in accordance with requirements can also be constructed.

Abstract: A two-stage gas regulator for liquefied-gas containers includes a lower body and an upper cover with a mediate plate disposed therebetween. The lower body has a plurality of inlet ports respectively in fluid communication with a corresponding liquefied-gas container, a first pressure-reduction chamber selectively in fluid communication with one of the inlet ports under control of a switch, a second pressure-reduction chamber in fluid communication with the first pressure-reduction chamber, and an outlet port in fluid communication with the second pressure-reduction chamber and a gas stove. The mediate plate has a first opening and a second opening respectively in alignment with the first and second pressure-reduction chambers. A first membrane is provided in the first pressure-reduction chamber to cover the first opening, and a second membrane is provided in the second pressure-reduction chamber to cover the second opening and for operating a secondary pressure reduction.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a water proof snow boot and the method of manufacturing the same. A water-proof plastic intermediate member is disposed between the outer leather covering and the inner lining of the boot to prevent water or moisture from coming into the boot through tiny pores of the leather covering by permeation, thereby causing discomfort of the wearer's foot.

Abstract: An arrangement for irrigating a patient's bladder following prostate or bladder surgery which includes a valve body having five circumferentially spaced ports thereon and a valve core rotatable within the valve body and having passageways therein for interconnecting selective ports on the valve body when the core is rotated to predetermined positions for admitting irrigating fluid to the bladder through a urinary catheter and for conveniently draining the irrigating fluid from the bladder into a urinary drainage receptacle. The valve is constructed so that the entire irrigating and drainage procedure can be performed either intermittently or continuously without disconnecting the valve ports from the catheters or the irrigating supply and drainage receptacles employed in the arrangement.

Abstract: A battery jumper cable unit wherein the negative terminal clamps each carries a test probe circuit comprising a bar-ended test probe mounted in insulated relationship on the negative terminal clamp and electrically connected by an insulated test wire to the cable interconnecting the positive terminal clamps. A diode, resistor and lamp (or other attention-getting means) are interconnected in series in said insulated test wire and mounted on the negative terminal clamp. Additional attention-getting devices (different colored lamps, bells, speakers) may be incorporated if desired.
