Abstract: A stator of motor into which two separate magnetic poles wound by conductive wires are assembled is applied. The stator has a minimized space between the magnetic poles, so that the magnetic leakage is reduced. The work efficiency of the motor is enhanced with lowered power consumption. The material consumption of coil is also reduced, and the assembly procedure is simplified to reduce the manufacturing cost.

Abstract: A hand-held bagel slicer is described for circumferentially slicing a bagel into two equal halves. The slicer comprises a generally U-shaped clip attached to a handle. The clip comprises a generally semi-circular bight and two flexible legs. The legs converge slightly from the bight to their free ends to hold the bagel sideways, and the free ends are outwardly flared to facilitate insertion of the bagel for slicing. Midway between the two legs is a 2 edged knife blade. The blade has a base secured to the bight and a tip terminating in a point. The blade is about 50 to 75% of the length of the legs. The free end of the handle is generally elliptical in cross section. The handle decreases in cross-sectional size and becomes generally rectangular in shape toward the flared end. The clip is joined to a core which has one or more small cross ribs extending laterally from a center rib to match with a similarly shaped recess in the handle to prevent relative rotation between the handle and the clip.

Abstract: In a half-bridge self-exciting switching power supply, an over-voltage detector receives the power supply output and generates an over-voltage signal when the power supply output exceeds a preset limit. An over-voltage cut-off circuit is connected to a pulse-width-modulated controller and a driving unit of the switching power supply. The over-voltage cut-off circuit applies a pull-down voltage to the driving unit so as to inhibit self-exciting operation of first and second self-excited switching circuits of a half-bridge self-excited circuit, and disables the pulse-width-modulated controller upon reception of the over-voltage signal from the over-voltage detector. Therefore, when the pulse-width-modulated controller or the driving unit becomes defective, the switching power supply can be cut-off automatically in order to prevent damage to a load and to the other components of the switching power supply.

Abstract: A color identifying device includes an emitter for supplying light to throw on a tested object, an amorphous photosensor, an amplifier, an ADC and a microprocessor. The emitter is formed with a LED producing three original colors or with three separate LED producing separate colors of red, green and blue. The photosensor receives the reflected light from the object and sends signals of three colors to the amplifier which amplifies the signals and sends them to the ADC. Then the ADC converts the analog signals into digital signals to be sent to the microprocessor which calculates the digital signals by a program identifying the colors of the object accurately.

Abstract: An electrical appliance includes a conductive casing, a connector and a grounding device. The connector includes an insulator body mounted on the conductive casing, and a ground terminal disposed on the insulator body. The ground terminal has a connecting end that extends inwardly of the conductive casing. The grounding device includes a metal plate which has a first end mounted on the conductive casing, and a second end defining an engaging hole that engages the connecting end of the ground terminal.

Abstract: A quickly accessible and fillable plastic bag unit includes a spacer unit having two layers, and a plastic bag having front and back walls which are joined together, and a pair of complementary separable zipper halves which are provided respectively on the front and back walls and which are spaced apart from the spacer unit at a predetermined distance. The plastic bag unit has an aperture unit formed through an intermediate portion of the spacer unit, two narrower outer uncut spaces which are respectively adjacent to the longitudinal sides of the plastic bag and which connect the spacer unit to the front and back walls, and two wider inner uncut spaces which are respectively adjacent to the aperture unit and which connect the spacer unit to the front and back walls. Each of the outer uncut spaces and an adjacent inner uncut space cooperatively define therebetween a slit line having a length which is longer than those of the uncut spaces.

Abstract: A device for removing a cork from a stoppered bottle utilizes a lever and a cam to drive a helical corkscrew into a cork, to withdraw the cork, and then to strip the cork from the corkscrew. The device comprises a housing having a bell-shaped opening to be placed over the mouth of the bottle. A lever has a semi-circular gear at one end which is pivotally joined to the housing. The gear engages a reciprocating, and preferably a rotatable gear rack whereby pivotal movement of the lever causes the gear rack to move linearly up and down through the housing. The lower end of the gear rack is joined to the corkscrew the free end of which extends through a cam collar and engages a cam follower therein. The cam collar is movable vertically within the housing from a lower position to a raised position, but is restricted against rotation relative to the housing. Two or more flexible fingers have notches therein which engage and disengage corresponding projections on the cam collar.

Abstract: An RF receiver apparatus that is suitable for implementation as a monolithic IC core with minimum external components is disclosed. The receiver apparatus features low noise figure, low intermodulation and almost fixed input impedance over a broad frequency band covering cable TV, broadcast TV, direct broadcast satellite TV. Other outstanding features includes 40 dB dynamic gain controllable range and minimum electromagnetic radiation due to fully differential signal design. Above all, due to the highly integrated design of the invention, it is suitable for miniaturized tuner appliation.

Abstract: A fasten-on supplemental restraint system comprising a detecting circuitry and an air bag assembly is provided. The supplemental restraint system is independently located in the vehicle and works with the existing safety belt system. The supplemental restraint system can be readily attached by means of buckle so that the air bag assembly can be readily placed in front of the driver/passenger. Once the air bag body of the air bag assembly is inflated, the direction of expansion is directed forward and outward from the driver/passenger. With this arrangement, the potential risk of being injured by the deployment of the air bag body is therefore eliminated.

Abstract: A manufacturing method and products of metallic friction materials includes processes of 1. preparing powder materials, 2. mixing copper as a base, proper proportion of iron powder or steel wool, aluminum powder, zinc or tin or lead powder, graphite powder and alumina or silicon dioxide powder, 3. pressing mixed materials into green bodies under 375.about.625 MPa at room temperature, 4. pre-heat treating the green bodies in an air furnace with temperature raised to 100.about.300.degree. C. for 1.about.3 hours, 5. sintering the green bodies into test samples under 350.about.750 MPa for 24.about.60 hours to gain sintered friction materials having an oxidized layer of less than 1 mm thick, 6. processing and grinding the sintered test samples with grinders to remove the oxidized layer, 7. washing the outer surface of the sintered test samples ground into finished products. The method of the invention may reduce largely difficulty in manufacturing processes, the investment and productive cost.

Abstract: An apparatus for, and method of, generating a k-bit pseudorandom number using m storage devices, m being less than k, is provided. The apparatus has interconnections among the storage devices. The interconnections include modulo-2 adders, and preferably 2-input modulo-2 adders, providing feedback to the storage devices. Some adders have outputs coupled to inputs of the storage devices while others have outputs coupled to k output lines. The interconnections are derived according to an m'th order generating polynomial and arranged to implement the generating function thereby outputting k bits on the k output lines each cycle of a clock signal common to the storage devices.

The action body is provided with a clamp slot, a pivoting slide pillar and a front inclined connection rod. The front inclined fork rods, the rear inclined fork rods, the rear inclined connection rod and the front inclined connection rod are provided respectively with a center pivoting hole, a center pivoting pillar, an end pivoting hole, and a back pivoting hole for engaging the pivoting bolt so as to enable the expandable clothes hanger base to be extracted and retracted. The action body is capable of actuating the front inclined fork rods to join together or move apart.
