Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for constructing an accurate three-dimensional model. The apparatus includes a plurality of light sources, an image-capturing element and an image-processing unit. The present invention is used to integrate the two-dimensional images from different views of an object into a high accurate three-dimensional model. Compared with conventional apparatuses, the apparatus of the present invention is useful without safety problems, relatively easily manipulated, and capable of quick image reconstruction.
Abstract: A field-effect transistor includes a gate electrode, a source electrode, a drain electrode, a semiconductor active layer, and a dielectric layer. The semiconductor active layer is connected to the source electrode and the drain electrode. The dielectric layer includes denatured albumen and is positioned between the gate electrode and the semiconductor active layer.

Abstract: An LED driving device includes: an LED circuit having an input side for receiving a driving current corresponding to an AC input voltage from an external power source when the magnitude of a driving voltage across the input side is greater than a predetermined value; and a clamp circuit coupled between the input side of the LED circuit and the external power source, and permitting the driving current to pass through for clamping the magnitude of the driving current to a predetermined current level and for clamping the magnitude of the driving voltage to a predetermined voltage level.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for screening the size of carrier for a subject in need, comprising: (a) providing a series of labeled carriers which have different sizes; (b) administering one of the series of carriers to a subject who suffers from an organ dysfunction; (c) monitoring biodistribution of the carrier of step (b) in said subject; (d) repeating steps (b) and (c) until all the series of carriers are administered and all the biodistribution of the series of carriers are monitored; and (e) determining the size of carrier for said subject in accordance with the retention time of the series of carriers in the dysfunctional organ of said subject. The method can be used as a screening platform for drug carrier, in which the optimal size of carrier can be screened for the dysfunctional organ of the subject.
Abstract: The configurations and adjusting method of a successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (SAR ADC) are provided. The provided SAR ADC includes at least one capacitor with a first and a second terminals, and a plurality of bits, each of which is connected to the at least one capacitor, wherein the first terminal receives an input signal, and the second terminal selectively receives one of a first and a second reference voltages, and a first comparator receiving an adjustable third reference voltage and a first voltage value generated by the input signal, wherein a connection of the second terminal of each the capacitor of the capacitor array is switched when the first voltage value is larger than the third reference voltage.
Abstract: A motion estimation method includes: (A) defining one pixel in a reference image as a center of search (CS) corresponding to a target pixel set in a current image; (B) determining a center error (CE) signal; (C) defining another pixel in the reference image as a target of search (TS) with reference to the CS, one candidate search vector available for selection from a vector set, and a step size; (D) determining a target error (TE) signal; (E) determining whether to update the CS and the CE signal; (F) if determined, updating the CS, the CE signal and the vector set; (G) repeating steps (C)˜(F) using a candidate search vector selected from the vector set and the same step size until there is no candidate search vector available for selection in the vector set; (H) repeating steps (C)˜(G) using a smaller step size until a predetermined value is reached; and (I) computing a motion vector based on the target pixel set and one pixel set that includes the CS.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an RNAi compound and an expression plasmid for inhibiting expression of Thrombospondin-1, which comprises a target sequence selected from Thrombospondin-1 gene. The present invention also related to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the RNAi compound and applications thereof. The RNAi compound can reduce the expression of Thrombospondin-1 to activate immune responses. In addition, the present invention also disclosed that an RNAi compound targeted to Thrombospondin-1 gene can delay tumor progression.
Abstract: An interleaved flyback converter device with leakage energy recycling includes: two flyback converters and an input power. Each flyback converter includes a capacitor, a switch, two diodes, and a transformer. The input power is connected to the capacitors of the two flyback converters respectively. By using the capacitors as input voltage, the two flyback converters are provided with lower voltage rating. The diodes are used to recycle leakage energy directly, and to clamp voltage on power components. Therefore, in addition to enhancing efficiency via recycling leakage energy, the two flyback converters have lower switching losses due to lower switching voltage.
Abstract: A blade pitch controlling apparatus and an application thereof are described. The blade pitch controlling apparatus includes a centrifugal device and a blade pitch variable device, and the blade pitch variable device is arranged under the centrifugal device. The blade pitch variable device has a downward stroke that is variable by the centrifugal device according to a centrifugal force induced thereon so as to drive the blade pitch variable device to change the setting angle of the blades of the wind power generator.

Abstract: An electromagnetic thermotherapeutic system is adapted to treat a biological tissue and includes an electromagnetic thermotherapeutic apparatus and a high frequency induction heating circuit unit. The apparatus includes a needle assembly and a temperature monitor. The needle assembly is adapted to be inserted in the biological tissue and includes a flexible and bendable needle seat and a plurality of ferrous needles attached to the needle seat and having needle tips extending in a direction away from the needle seat. The temperature monitor is connected to the needle assembly. The high frequency induction heating circuit unit has an induction coil capable of producing an electromagnetic field to induce currents in the ferrous needles and to thereby heat the ferrous needles.
Abstract: A display includes a scan line, a data line, a pixel circuit, a compensation circuit, a voltage controller, and a data line driver. The data line forms a junction with the scan line. The pixel circuit is disposed at the junction of the scan line and the data line. When the scan line and the data line are driven, the pixel circuit generates a driving current. The compensation circuit generates a comparing signal and a positioning signal based on the driving current. The voltage controller generates a reference voltage that corresponds to the positioning signal with reference to the comparing signal. The data line driver corrects an image signal based on the reference voltage, and drives the data line with the corrected image signal. A compensation circuit for the display is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of antibiotic susceptibility testing is disclosed, and includes the following steps: (A) providing a sample to be tested wherein the sample contains a microbe; (B) adding an antibiotic into the sample, wherein the antibiotic serves to inhibit cell wall synthesis; (C) checking the sample by dielectrophoresis and observing a shape change of the microbe; and (D) determining whether the microbe is susceptible to the antibiotic according to the shape change thereof. The present invention also discloses a method for determining a minimum inhibitory concentration of the antibiotic.
Abstract: An optically-induced dielectrophoresis chip including a substrate, a first electrode layer disposed on the substrate, and an interface modification layer disposed on the first electrode layer. A photo-conductive layer is disposed on the interface modification layer and includes an optical absorbent polymeric material. A barrier layer is disposed on the photo-conductive layer, and a compartment forming layer is disposed on the barrier layer defining a compartment. A second electrode layer covers the compartment forming layer.

Abstract: The present invention solves problems of cold start, first rater, sparsity and scalability for recommendation. A recommendation system according to the present invention finds association rules through data mining. Then, the recommendation system integrates a rough-set algorithm and a statistical analysis prediction for recommendation. The recommendation is dynamically made from a result of the rough-set algorithm and a result of the statistical analysis prediction by setting a standard deviation as a threshold.
