  • Patent number: 10934556
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of expression cassettes to achieve tapetum specific reversible expression of transgene in female heterotic parent and in F1 progeny in the plants. The expression cassettes are based on the transcription regulation and light signaling. It includes two vector construct; female expression construct and male regulatory construct. The female expression construct was used to achieve tapetum specific expression of reporter gene while when cross is made with male plants having regulatory cassette, F1 plants were formed with abolished expression of reporter gene. Further, the system was deployed to achieve complete male sterility using candidate gene of male sterility; BECLIN1/ATG6 and successfully restoring the fertility of F1 by crossing with pollen of male regulatory transgenic. Here, we claim the expression system using which reversible male sterility can be achieved by expressing candidate gene for male sterility like BECLIN1 or other.

  • Publication number: 20200393792
Abstract: A method for optimally producing a holographic image using a Holographic Optical Element (HOE) and the HOE meant for controlling directions and divergences of light beams to impart system compactness. The system uses concave and convex lenses and other beam expanding, splitting, modulating and combining optics for realization of compactness and high throughput. The thin laser beam is split using a holographic optical element and a conventional beam splitter. A neutral density filter adjusts the intensity of a reference beam to match the intensity of an object beam so that high quality digital holograms can be recorded. Effects of vibrations are minimized by the compact optical design, by anti-vibration mounts, by mounting all the opto-mechanical components on a single rigid platform and by enclosing the system. An electro-optical sensor array records holograms digitally and an algorithm numerically reconstructs and further quantifies the results using a personal computer/laptop/tablet etc.

  • Patent number: 10811546
Abstract: A process of depositing zirconium oxide (ZrO2) layers possessing dual properties of anti-reflection and passivation of silicon surfaces, including passivation of n-type and p-type silicon substrates. To grow a ZrO2 anti-reflection passivation layer, a precursor layer of zirconium oxide is spun on a silicon surface then dried, pyrolyzed and fired at suitable contact firing conditions, avoiding additional deposition. Thermal annealing in a hydrogen environment improves passivation quality of ZrO2 layer to a level 3-4 times higher than that of fired films alone. ZrO2 dielectric passivation layers exhibit improved passivation quality after illumination due to photo-enhanced passivation and higher passivation quality at higher thermal budget suitable for screen printed metal contact firing, unlike standard PECVD deposited passivation layers. The method is adaptable for fabrication of silicon solar cells and other structures utilizing passivated layers.

Abstract: The current invention relates to development of new formulation containing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with bi-functional recombinant fusion proteins TRAF(C) for the delivery of anticancer drugs and nucleic acids to HER2+ cancers. Using the combinatorial approach, we designed gold nanoparticle-based targeted drug delivery system (TDDS) or (Au-TR-DX-si) by combining AuNPs with bi-functional recombinant fusion protein TRAF(C) (TR), doxorubicin (DX) and siRNA (si). The recombinant protein based gold nanoparticles formulations are stable and homogenous as revealed by several physicochemical studies. In addition, the engineered fusion protein TRAF (C) has the ability to target selectively to HER2+ receptors overexpressed in ovarian cancer cells (SK-OV-3).
