Abstract: The present invention is to provide a light guide structure, which includes a conical light guide element being a hollow cone and having an inner surface configured as a reflective surface, a light-emitting element (e.g., an LED) provided in a pointed end of the conical light guide element, and a partially blocking reflective element covering an opening on the other end of the conical light guide element and including a light-permeable region and an opaque reflective region. The opaque reflective region corresponds in position to an optical axis of the light-emitting element, and the light-permeable region is located around the opaque reflective region and outside the optical axis. Thus, when the light emitted by the light-emitting element passes through the conical light guide element, the light will be repeatedly reflected by the reflective surface and the partially blocking reflective element until being fully projected to and penetrates the light-permeable region.

  • Patent number: 8546713
Abstract: A push button structure includes a casing and a button body that are integrally formed by injection molding. The casing has an opening that extends through the surface of the casing. The button body is formed within the opening, and has an outer periphery spaced from the inner periphery of the opening and has an outer surface exposed on the surface of the casing and an inner surface extended by the curved lever. The curved lever has one end fixedly connected to an inner wall of the casing at a position adjacent to the opening such that the button body is movably positioned inside the opening. When the button body is pressed, the elasticity of the curved lever allows the button body to move toward the inside of the casing and thereby trigger an electronic switch in the casing.

  • Patent number: 8509251
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a gateway device which, when determining that a network device connected thereto is a web camera and receives a packet from the web camera, is able to automatically add a port of the gateway device connected with the network device to a VLAN designated by the gateway device and then add a specific group code to the packet to specify the VLAN, such that the gateway device can transmit the packet to the VLAN according to the specific group code. The gateway device is then able to automatically set transmission priority of the packet to a high priority, such that after the packet is transmitted out of the VLAN, the packet can be transmitted through a transmission channel with the high priority, so as to improve the convenience of using the web camera and assure the transmission priority of the packet in the VLAN.

  • Publication number: 20130117437
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for establishing TCP connection according to NAT (Network Address Translation) behaviors, which is applied to a network system having a NBA (NAT Behavior Aware Server) located in the Internet and connected to two NATs in two private networks respectively. The method enables two network devices in the respective private networks to send testing messages to the NBA via the respective NATs. In response, the NBA sends reply messages to each network device to test the behaviors of the NATs respectively. Afterward, each network device generates a test result message according to each behavior of the corresponding NAT and sends the same to the NBA. Based on the test result messages, the NBA selects an optimal traversal technique from candidate traversal techniques, thereby allowing the network devices to respectively and directly traverse the NATs and establish a direct TCP connection therebetween.

  • Patent number: 8375103
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a system including at least one storage device for storing at least one file each having a file name, a home gateway having a routing identification code and connected to the storage device, and a server connected to the home gateway via the Internet for receiving the routing identification code and the file name uploaded by the home gateway. The server stores a user's registration information corresponding to the routing identification code. When a terminal device connected to the server via the Internet uses the registration information to pass the server's verification and thus log in the server, the server transmits the file name to the terminal device and, when receiving a request instruction from the terminal device, then retrieves the file from the storage device by way of the home gateway and then sends the file to the terminal device as requested.

  • Patent number: 8356344
Abstract: This invention is to provide a method applied to a network system comprising Internet and at least two private networks each having at least one NAT router and at least one network terminal device. Each network terminal device can link to Internet through an ICE proxy and the NAT router in the corresponding private network. The method allows an ICE proxy in a private network to hijack connection signals sent from a network terminal device, to write a plurality of candidate access points provided by an ICE protocol standard into a SDP packet containing the connection signals, and to transmit the SDP packet to a remote ICE proxy in another private network via Internet. As a result, the ICE proxies of two private networks can selectively use the candidate access points provided by the ICE protocol standard in order to pass through the respective NAT routers and firewalls thereof.

  • Patent number: 8204066
Abstract: We propose a method for predicting a port number of a NAT equipment according to results of inquiring a STUN server twice in this invention. A network terminal device A in a private network sends an inquiry packet to the STUN server before and after sending a hole punching request, acquires two endpoint mappings of the NAT equipment used respectively in the two inquiries from the STUN server, and delivers the endpoint mappings to another network terminal device B in another private network through a SIP server. The network terminal device B predicts a range of port numbers of the NAT equipment probably used when the hole punching request was sent, according to the endpoint mappings and a port differential of the NAT equipment, and sends packets to the predicted port numbers sequentially until a response packet is received from the network terminal device A. Hence, a connection channel is established.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a system for assisting a user in troubleshooting network connection problems, which includes a main terminal device (e.g., a computer) and a mediation device (e.g., a router) connected to the main terminal device and storing an assisting web page. Upon receiving a web page request instruction from the main terminal device, the mediation device redirects the web page request instruction to a website address. When the mediation device determines that itself is not connected to the Internet (i.e., a network connection problem occurs), the mediation device will send the assisting web page to the main terminal device. The assisting web page is displayed by the main terminal device through a browser thereof, so as for the user to troubleshoot the network connection problem according to the steps specified in the assisting web page (e.g., to perform a line inspection, a light signal check, etc.).
