Abstract: A sprung balance type mechanical timekeeper, includes a spiral spring (10), a balance (20) and an escapement mechanism (30) connected by a point of attachment (12) to the spiral spring and arranged to sustain an oscillation of the balance. The escapement mechanism (30) is connected to the point of attachment (12) of the spiral spring by a chassis (40) pivoted about the axis (A) of the balance. An outer end (12) of the spiral spring (10) is attached to this transverse pert (40) at a location located on one side of the balance axis (A). The chassis (40) includes two branches extending on either side of the axis of the balance (20) and forming a rotary plate whose axis of rotation is coincident with the axis of oscillation of the balance (20). The escapement mechanism (30) is located on the other side of the balance axis (A) and acts on the pivoted chassis (40) so as to free its rotation and thus make the attached end (12) of the spiral spring rotate.

Abstract: This invention discloses diagnosis of risk of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity by measurement of increased expression of soluble epoxide hydrolase in vitro and in vivo in cells, tissues or animals including measurement of increased levels of soluble epoxide hydrolase metabolites, e.g., 14,15-DHET and 11,12-DHET, in biological fluids. This invention also includes diagnosis of risk of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity by measuring increased levels of oxidative stress in cells, tissues or animals including measurement of increased levels of oxidative stress biomarkers, e.g., 8-isoprostane, in biological fluids. Fatty acid and protein biomarkers to diagnose the risk of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity are detected using various detection methods including mass spectrometry and immunoassay such as ELISA, Western blot analysis or label-free microwell and nanowell technologies.
Abstract: A continuous process for nano-emulsification that is performed by concentration phase inversion in a microfluidic reactor, including the following steps: (a) injection of an aqueous phase into a first microchannel, the first microchannel opening onto a formulation chamber, (b) injection, into a second microchannel, of a fatty phase including one or more fatty substances immiscible in the aqueous phase, and one or more surfactants, the second microchannel opening into the formulation chamber, then (c) mixing of the aqueous phase and the fatty phase in the formulation chamber, then (d) recovering, at the output of the formulation chamber, a suspension including lipid nanocapsules. Abstract: An objective of the disclosure is to provide compositions containing vegetable oils and an anti-oxidant system to prevent oxidation of the triglycerides in the vegetable oil in food products, in particular in products which are often stored for a long time. The antioxidant system should not give an undesired colour, and neither an undesired taste, to a food composition. Additionally, it should be a natural compound and/or common food ingredient, and fitting to the food composition with regard to taste and colour. This has been achieved by providing a food composition containing vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar, wherein the weight ratio of citric acid and malic acid to total organic acids in the apple cider vinegar is more than 2%.
