Abstract: The present invention to a method, a kit, etc., for predicting the response BNCT using a BSH-related medicine-containing boron preparation and a BPA-containing boron preparation, the method and kit being characterized by examining the expression of CD44, a translation-related factor and/or LAT1 in cancer cells of a sample. When the expression of the CD44 or translation-related factor in the cancer cells of the sample is high, it can be predicted that the BNCT using the BSSH-related medicine-containing boron preparation is likely to be responsive. When the expression of the LAT1 in the cancer cells of the sample is high, it can be predicted that the BNCT using the BPA-containing boron preparation is likely to be responsive.
Abstract: A magnetic shielding system that includes a shield that is non-uniform in the axial direction and a shield cap that is non-uniform in the radial direction. Each shield in the system may have a magnetic permeability, thickness, and/or radius that varies in the axial direction to create low-reluctance paths that redirect flux away from a sample towards the ends of the shield. Each shield cap in the system may have a magnetic permeability and/or thickness that varies in the radial direction to create low-reluctance paths that redirect flux away from the sample towards shield walls. An inner shielding layer formed from a material of low permeability and moderate-to-high coercivity may be implemented as the innermost layer of a magnetic shielding system.

Abstract: A network node includes a pushbutton to provide a button-press event and a pairer to receive the button-press event while not being in a secure domain. In response to the button-press, the pairer alternates between acting as an endpoint node and acting as a temporary domain master, until pairing is completed. In an alternative embodiment, the node includes a multi-pairer to receive the button press event and, in response, to open a pairing window, to become a domain master of a secure network and to join more than one other network node receiving a button press event to the secure network until the pairing window closes.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness includes a pair of straps connectable in two configurations. Abstract: A wiper system including a brushless DC electric motor having a rotor, a stator having coils for electromagnetically exciting the rotor, a device for determining the angular position of the rotor with respect to the stator, a control unit configured to generate control signals for supplying power to the electromagnetic excitation coils according to the angular position of the rotor determined by the device for determining the angular position of the rotor, a reduction gear mechanism linked, on one side, to the rotor of the electric motor and, on the other side, to an output shaft that is intended to be linked to an external mechanism. The rotor includes at least one Hall effect sensor associated with a control magnet that rotates with the rotor and the gear motor also having a processing unit connected to the device for determining the angular position of the rotor.
Abstract: A method for exposing a pattern in an area on a surface using a charged particle beam system is disclosed and includes determining a local pattern density for the area of the pattern based on an original set of exposure information. A pre-PEC maximum dose is determined for the area. The original set of exposure information is modified with the pre-PLC maximum dose.

The water-based drilling fluid contains the filtrate reducer, and exhibits good inhibitive, rheological, filtrate reducing, and reservoir protection performance when it is applied in the drilling process in a high-temperature high-calcium deep salt-gypsum formation.
