Patent number: 11037059Abstract: A computer-implemented method for analyzing a first neural network via a second neural network according to a differentiable function. The method includes adding a derivative node to the first neural network that receives derivatives associated with a node of the first neural network. The derivative node is connected to the second neural network such that the second neural network can receive the derivatives from the derivative node. The method further includes feeding forward activations in the first neural network for a data item, back propagating a selected differentiable function, providing the derivatives from the derivative node to the second neural network as data, feeding forward the derivatives from the derivative node through the second neural network, and then back propagating a secondary objective through both neural networks. In various aspects, the learned parameters of one or both of the neural networks can be updated according to the back propagation calculations.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: D5AI LLCInventor: James K. Publication number: 20210172983Abstract: A three-phase load is powered by a PWM (e.g., SVPWM) driven DC-AC inverter having a single shunt-topology. A shunt voltage and a branch voltage of the inverter (across a transistor to be calibrated) are measured during a second period of each SVPWM sector, and the drain-to-source resistance of the calibrated transistor is calculated. During the fourth period of each SVPWM sector, the branch voltage is measured again, and another branch voltage across another transistor is measured. Using the drain-to-source resistance of the calibrated transistor and the voltage across the calibrated transistor measured during the fourth period, the phase current through the calibrated transistor is calculated. Using the other branch voltage measured during the fourth period and the drain-to-source resistance of its corresponding transistor (known from a prior SVPWM sector), the phase current through that transistor is calculated. From the two calculated phase currents, the other phase current can be calculated.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2020Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicants: STMicroelectronics S.r.l., STMicroelectronics (Shenzhen) R&D Co. Publication number: 20210171880Abstract: The present invention relates to a pre-treatment composition for the cleaning of fabrics, especially a sprayable foamable liquid cleaning composition. It is an object of the present invention to provide a sprayable foamable liquid cleaning composition for the pretreatment of fabric which has superior soil removal properties for a wide variety of stains. It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a foamable cleaning composition having a pH of less than 4 which provides good stain removal benefits without compromising on the stability of the isotropic solution or foam structure. We have found that a foamable liquid composition providing a stable foam which exhibits dilutability, homogeneity in solution, excellent cleaning performance on various stain types can be prepared when higher levels of solvents and low pH are combined with specific amounts of alkoxylated anionic surfactant, nonionic surfactant, amphoteric surfactant and at specific ratios between the surfactant and solvents.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2018Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicant: Conopco, Inc., d/b/a UNILEVERInventors: Koushik ACHARYA, Arpita SARKAR, Narayanan SUBRAHMANIAM

Publication number: 20210175677Abstract: A method for generating ultrashort pulses includes directing a master beam having ultrashort pulses and at least one slave beam through an optical gate material. The intensity of the slave beam upstream of the optical gate material is lower than that of the master beam upstream of the optical gate material. The optical gate material and the pulses of the master beam are chosen to induce a Kerr effect when the master beam passes through the optical gate material, the Kerr effect producing a modulation of the phase of the slave beam in association with pulses of the master beam when the slave beam passes through the optical gate material. The modulation of the phase of the slave beam is transformed into a modulation of the amplitude thereof using a complementary optical device to generate a slave beam downstream of the optical gate material having ultrashort pulses.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2019Publication date: June 10, 2021Applicants: ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE, INSTITUT D'OPTIQUE GRADUATE SCHOOL (IOGS), CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE, UNIVERSITE PARIS SACLAYInventors: Dimitrios PAPADOPOULOS, Xavier DELEN, Frederic DRUON
