Abstract: A method for determining at least one value of a customization parameter for a visual compensation device includes the following steps: a) a user (1) equipped with an electronic terminal (2) captures at least one image or video sequence; b) telecommunicating the at least one image to a remote-support center (22); c) processing the at least one image in order to derive therefrom an instruction to correct or validate the captured image or video sequence; d) telecommunicating the correction or validation instruction from the remote-assistance center (22) to the terminal (2) of the user (1); e) displaying or emitting an audio or video message using the terminal; f) repeating the preceding steps until a validated image or video sequence is obtained; g) determining a value of the at least one customization parameter.

The aluminum may be pretensioned or prestressed to provide these advantages. The subassembly is preferably mounted to the side of the skeleton. The compact depalletizer is readily portable, and robotic elements of the compact depalletizer do not need to be reprogrammed after transport, so installation time is substantially reduced compared with prior art depalletizers.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for predicting the effectiveness of an angiogenesis inhibitor in a subject suffering from a tumor. Provided is a method comprising a step of testing for the presence or absence of an a mutation or loss of expression of B-Raf and PTEN in a sample of tumor tissue from the subject. By using the presence or absence of or a mutation or loss of expression of B-Raf and PTEN as an indicator, this method enables the antitumor effectiveness of the angiogenesis inhibitor to be predicted without administering the angiogenesis inhibitor to the subject.

Abstract: A firearm includes a frame to which a barrel and slide are slideably mounted and in which a magazine is slideably received. A bumper telescoped on a push rod slideable with the slide pushes a shell in the magazine onto a pivotal carrier. Locking wings pivotally mounted to the barrel are cammed in troughs of a cam block as the barrel and the slide slide parallel to the longitudinal axis of the barrel relative to the cam block, so that lock tabs are removably received in locking recesses in the slide to removably lock the barrel and slide together. Abstract: A positioning system, in particular, positioning in six dimensions of a sensor with respect to an assembly composed of a multitude of LEDs, is provided. The sensor is a shadow sensor and has a mask and a 2D imager. By recording the shadow of the mask cast by each LED on the imager, and by properly multiplexing the LEDs, the system can compute the 6D position of the LED assembly with respect to the shadow sensor. This computation is based, in part, on treating the shadow of the mask cast on the imager as the equivalent of the projection of light in a pinhole camera.
