Patent number: 9558382Abstract: A microprogram for performing communication between an RFID smart tag and external digital sensors (EDS1, EDSK) is loaded in a buffer (Bu). A hard-wired dedicated processing unit (DPU) of the tag reads, decodes and executes said microprogram through the digital communication interface (DCI). The sensor data is stored at beginning locations of said buffer (Bu), wherefrom they are read by an RFID interrogator. The tag functionality in an application is settable with the RFID interrogator to an automatic data logger or RFID wireless sensor. The tag is adjustable to various types of digital sensors from various manufacturers. A hardwired dedicated processing unit makes it possible that the tag saves more energy, has smaller dimensions and is faster.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2012Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: AMS R&D ANALOGNI POLPREVODNIKI, D.O.O.Inventors: Kosta Kovacic, Vinko Kunc, Anton Pletersek

Patent number: 9556106Abstract: One aspect of the invention relates to a method for the purification of cadaverine from an aqueous cadaverine composition comprising one or more involatile impurities, the method comprising obtaining cadaverine from evaporation or distillation of the aqueous cadaverine composition wherein one or more solvents are added to the evaporation/distillation system before the evaporation/distillation starts, during the evaporation/distillation and/or after the evaporation/distillation substantially stops when no more evaporation/distillation is observed; wherein the one or more solvents comprise at least one or more high boiling point (HBP) solvents. In certain embodiments, cadaverine may be evaporated/distilled at an unexpectedly lower heating temperature for an unexpectedly shorter heating time to provide a desired yield. Because cadaverine may decompose at high temperature, the unexpectedly lower heating temperature and unexpectedly shorter heating time decrease the undesired cadaverine decomposition.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignees: CATHAY R&D CENTER CO., LTD., CATHAY INDUSTRIAL BIOTECH LTD.Inventors: Xiucai Liu, Charlie Liu, Duanfang Dai, Bingbing Qin, Naiqiang Li

Patent number: 9557447Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for adding a chosen functional coating on an optical surface of a spectacle lens. In one implementation, it is determined if identified features of the optical surface of the spectacle lens are compatible with the chosen functional coating according to a first set of rules. The features of the optical surface are identified based on an analysis of a quality of the optical surface. Manufacturing information for the chosen functional coating is generated based on the determined compatibility. The manufacturing information includes information for depositing the chosen functional coating on the optical surface where the identified features are compatible with the chosen functional coating and on a modified optical surface where the identified features are not compatible with the chosen functional coating.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: ESSILOR INTERNATIONAL (COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'OPTIQUE)Inventors: Frederic Arrouy, Philip Miller

Publication number: 20170026808Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for transmitting high speed digital network data over existing wiring in legacy platforms. In some embodiments, high-speed digital data can be communicated over existing wiring and infrastructure on air, land, and marine platforms. The disclosed systems and methods are beneficial for platforms that were designed, developed, and manufactured before modern high speed communications were standardized, so they typically lack the communications infrastructure required to integrate advanced systems at remote points within the platform. The disclosed communications technology enables a legacy platform or infrastructure to take advantage of the advancements in sensor and payload technology since the production of such platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2016Publication date: January 26, 2017Applicant: 5-D Systems, Inc.Inventors: Darren Scott Johnson, Bennie Ray Kirk
