Abstract: A network device stores back-off definitions for different service categories of machine-type communications (MTC). The network device receives a service connection request originating from a wireless terminal and identifies the service connection request as a MTC request. The network device identifies an available bandwidth capacity for at least one portion of a network associated with the MTC request and determines, when the available bandwidth is below an admission threshold capacity, an admission control level for the MTC request. The admission control level is selected from a group of different admission control levels. The network device calculates a retry interval for the MTC request based on the determined admission control level for the MTC request and the available bandwidth capacity, and sends the retry interval with a response for the MTC request.

Abstract: The invention provides a beverage production machine having an apparatus for recognising a package. The apparatus comprises two resonant tank circuits, each comprising a coil and a capacitor; two electronic circuits for detecting changes in coil impedance; a means for generating a signal which is indicative of the changes; and means for controlling the beverage production machine according to the signal. The machine also comprises a holder for supporting the package. The package for use in the machine comprises a base unit having a compartment which contains tea material, and a rim with a projecting lip; conductive material associated with the package having two edge sections situated on opposite sides of the compartment; and a lid attached to the base unit around the rim, the central portion of the lid comprising at least one perforated line. The invention also provides a method of recognising the package.

At this point, the network prevents other more regular communication of the mobile device via the network. The portal automatically collects identification information from the mobile device and collects information from the user to activate the device on a network service account. The portal causes a provisioning system to provision data to network elements to activate device service in the network. After provisioning is complete, a notification is sent to the mobile device; and after device communication is completed a record that controlled routing to the portal before activation is deleted. Abstract: A battery tester capable of measuring resistance and voltage of a battery using the same input channel. When measuring battery resistance, a testing signal circuit is electrically coupled to two electrodes of a subject battery to conduct a testing signal used in the battery resistance measurement. A response sensing circuit of the battery tester is also electrically coupled to the two electrodes of the subject battery to measure a response signal across the two electrodes of the subject battery. A resistance measuring module is electrically coupled to the response sensing circuit to measure the battery resistance based on the response signal detected by the response sensing circuit. A circuit breaker is capable of disconnecting the subject battery from the testing signal circuit, and disconnecting the resistance measuring module from the response sensing circuit. Moreover, the battery tester can also provide automatic protection for the battery resistance measuring module.

Abstract: A facile synthesis of amphiphilic hyperbranched polymers consisting of poly(amic acid) and polyimide was developed via “A2+B3” approach from difunctional anhydride and trifunctional hydrophilic poly(oxyalkylene)triamine. Various amphiphilic hyperbranched poly(amic acid)s (HBPAAs) with terminal amine functionalities and amic acid structures were prepared through ring-opening polyaddition at room temperature, followed by thermal imidization process for the formation of hyperbranched polyimides (HBPIs), accordingly. The resulting HBPIs were analyzed by GPC, indicating the molecule weights of 5000˜7000 g/mol with a distribution of polydispersity between 2.0 and 3.8. The amine titration for HBPIs indicated the peripheral total-amine contents to be 8.32˜18.32 mequiv/g dependent on compositions.

The object could be achieved by the pharmaceutical composition characterized in that a layer containing a proton pump inhibitor and ethyl cellulose, a layer containing an enteric polymer, and if necessary an intermediate layer composed of one or more layers are formed on a pharmacologically inactive core substance. The intermediate layer is composed of a water-insoluble polymer, a water-soluble polymer, a lubricant and the like.
