Abstract: A communication network for networking lighting systems of home and office technology involves an application on a mobile terminal that can control lighting systems in the surroundings of the mobile terminal. The lighting systems in the interior of a vehicle are also networked and the lighting systems are controlled depending on the lighting settings of a screen of the mobile terminal.
Abstract: A chassis for a passenger car includes two main longitudinal chassis beams which are connected to one another via a bumper cross member. A support arrangement extends between the two beams and is supported on a central tunnel. The support arrangement forms a load path in an event of a collision-related force being applied to the passenger car where above and/or below the support arrangement an installation space region is provided for accommodating a component or unit in need of protection. The support arrangement includes a strut which extends in a region of a center of the passenger car between the two beams and which forms a protective device which transmits impact forces forwards to the central tunnel. The strut has a first longitudinal section that is deformable in a targeted energy-absorbing manner and a second longitudinal section which functions as a rigid beam.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle includes a combustion chamber with a gas exchange valve which is movable between an open position and a first closed position. The gas exchange valve is movable on its path from the open position in a direction of the first closed position into an intermediate position located between the open position and the first closed position and is holdable in the intermediate position at least during a part of a compression cycle of the combustion chamber following the open position of the gas exchange valve and is movable into a second closed position following the intermediate position. The part comprises more than a half of the compression cycle and less than a whole of the compression cycle. The gas exchange valve is an inlet valve via which the combustion chamber is supplyable at least with air.

Abstract: A light for a motor vehicle includes a flat light guide with decoupling structures for light on the front side, as well as at least one light source for coupling light into the flat light guide. A graphic is arranged on the rear side of the light guide, the graphic being constructed from regions with different degrees of reflectivity and/or colors. The decoupling structures and the graphic have the same graphical pattern and are oriented in relation to one another. The at least one light source couples the light into the flat light guide on the end face.
Abstract: A method and system for detecting intrusion in a distributed field bus of a vehicle network involve using an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to detect intrusion in the network. In a network with a number of nodes, IDS is configured in each of the number of nodes. The IDS, in a first node configured in a transmission mode, receives at least one message signal. A hash function is performed on at least one message signal for generating a first Honeypot (HPT) signal. Simultaneously, the first node transmits the first HPT signal to the second node. The first node and the second node generates a reference HPT and second HPT respectively using an echo-hash function. The IDS detect intrusion based on a comparison of the reference HPT and the second HPT. The method is independent of network traffic timing and can be performed in real-time.
Abstract: A motor vehicle has an interior which is accessible via a door opening which can be closed by a door and which can be enlarged from a driving position into a parking position by displacing a vehicle roof region delimiting the door opening. The vehicle roof region can be moved along as part of the at least substantially entire vehicle roof which can be displaced between the driving position and the parking position relative to a lower vehicle body part. The door is mounted on the displaceable vehicle roof.
Abstract: A valve gear has a cam shaft with a firing cam and a braking cam. A first cam follower is allocated to the firing cam with the first cam follower being provided in a firing operation for actuating a gas exchange valve. A second cam follower is allocated to the braking cam with the second cam follower being provided in a braking operation for actuating the gas exchange valve. A changeover device switches between the operations and has a tilting lever mount having a pivotably mounted mounting element on which a tilting lever belonging to the first cam follower and a tilting lever belonging to the second cam follower are pivotably mounted. The tilting lever mount has two mounting screws respectively having a ball head and the ball heads each form a ball joint together with a ball head receiver of the allocated tilting lever.
Abstract: A bodywork structure for a passenger vehicle includes a bodywork shell construction with two longitudinal girders and a flexible crossmember device attached to the two longitudinal girders. The flexible crossmember device has a first flexible crossmember and two energy absorption elements where the two energy absorption elements are respectively fixed to the two longitudinal girders and the first flexible crossmember is connected to the two longitudinal girders via the two energy absorption elements. A support framework is disposed between the two longitudinal girders and has a second flexible crossmember that is at least indirectly connected to the two longitudinal girders and is convexly curved in a direction of the first flexible crossmember. The support framework has a load divider disposed between the first flexible crossmember and the second flexible crossmember in the longitudinal direction of the passenger vehicle and extending in the transverse direction of the passenger vehicle.

Abstract: A method for conducting a motor vehicle in an at least partially automated manner includes generating and outputting a plurality of approach signals for controlling a transverse and/or a longitudinal conduction of the motor vehicle in order to conduct the motor vehicle in at least a partially automated manner in such a way that the motor vehicle approaches a traffic junction. The method includes receiving a plurality of environmental signals which represent an environment of the motor vehicle while it approaches the traffic junction. The method determines, based on the environmental signals that the motor vehicle may continue to further approach the traffic junction, must stop, and/or must retreat. The method generates and outputs control signals for controlling the transverse and/or longitudinal conduction of the motor vehicle in order to conduct the motor vehicle in at least a partially automated manner according to the determining process.
