Abstract: In a method of operating a hybrid drive train for a motor vehicle including an internal combustion engine, an electric machine and a transmission, a first clutch arranged between the internal combustion engine and the transmission and the electric machine being arranged in parallel with the first clutch and being connectable to the internal combustion engine by way of a second clutch and to the transmission via a third clutch, the electric machine is connected by means of the second and third clutches to the internal combustion engine and to the transmission for assisting the first clutch transmitting an excessive engine torque, and upon failure of the first clutch, for starting movement of the motor vehicle, the third clutch is engaged and the electric machine is energized for transferring an electric machine torque to the transmission and the second clutch is engaged when the vehicle has reached a speed corresponding to the engine speed.
Abstract: A fuel cell system includes at least one fuel cell and a circulation system for anode exhaust gases of the fuel cell around an anode region. The fuel cell system also includes a drain line for feeding liquid and water from the region of the circulation system into a process air flow to a cathode region of the fuel cell. The drain line opens into a line element for the process air flow which runs from a lower position into an upper position arranged higher when used properly in the direction of gravity. The flow of the process air runs from the lower position to the upper position of the line element.
Abstract: A support structure for a vehicle airbag that can be displaced from a storage position to a restraint position by a gas flow, comprises a plurality of hollow bodies that are connected to each other to form a channel system. A device is provided inside the channel system for the targeted influencing of the gas flow.

Abstract: By incorporating a selectively conducting component in electrical series with the anode components in a solid polymer fuel cell, degradation during startup and shutdown can be reduced. As a result, the startup and shutdown procedures can be simplified and consequently certain system apparatus may be omitted. The anode does not need to be rapidly purged with hydrogen on startup or with air on shutdown. Additionally, the auxiliary load usually employed during such purging is not required.

Abstract: A method for non-releasable fixing of at least one component to a further component is provided in which a hot rivet is introduced into an opening of the at least one first component and an end face of a shank of the hot rivet is welded to a surface of the further component. Subsequently, with plastic deformation of the hot rivet, the shank of the hot rivet is compressed until a head of the hot rivet lies with a pre-stressing force at least in areas on a surface of the at least one component. The pre-stressing force, with which the head of the hot rivet lies at least in areas on the surface of the at least one component, is adjusted to a predefined value.

Abstract: ? method for determining a vehicle body movement of a vehicle body of a vehicle (1) which comprises a camera (3) arranged on the vehicle (1). Camera images of vehicle surroundings are thereby continuously recorded by means of the camera (3) and image position data of at least one static object (8) are determined in camera images recorded at different times. Using the time-based sequence of the determined image position data the vehicle body movement is determined. Further, a method for determining a spring compression movement of at least one wheel (7), mounted in a sprung fashion, of a vehicle (1) which comprises a camera (3) arranged on the vehicle (1).
Abstract: A fuel cell system includes at least one fuel cell and at least one air conveyor that conveys a process air flow to the fuel cell. At least one heat exchanger is also provided, through which the process air flow flows after the air conveyor and through which a cooling medium flow flows. A region with catalytically active material is arranged in the flow direction of the process air flow before or in the region of the heat exchanger. In addition a fuel can be fed to the region with the catalytically active material.
Abstract: A method for operating a powertrain, including an electro-mechanical transmission mechanically-operatively coupled to an internal combustion engine and an electric machine, includes monitoring slip across a selectively applied clutch within the transmission to indicate a clutch slip event, and if the monitoring indicates the clutch slip event decreasing a load across the selectively applied clutch by reducing torque of at least one of the engine and the electric machine, in order to reduce the slip, thereby ending the clutch slip event.
