Abstract: A method and device for monitoring the formation of nitrogen dioxide at an oxidation catalytic converter is disclosed. The conversion of the nitrogen oxides, corresponding to a first exhaust gas volume flowrate through the oxidation catalytic converter, is detected. The exhaust gas volume flowrate is then changed and the conversion of the nitrogen oxides which changes with the change in the exhaust gas volume flowrate is also detected. By reference to the respective conversion of the nitrogen oxides at the different exhaust gas flowrates through the oxidation catalytic converter, it is concluded, on the basis of a predetermined relationship between the conversion of the nitrogen oxides and a proportion of nitrogen dioxide in the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas, that nitrogen dioxide is being formed at the oxidation catalytic converter.
Abstract: A method for starting the normal operation of an electrical system with a fuel cell and a transducer from a stop mode is disclosed. The transducer absorbs the electrical power of the fuel cell, in which at least one reactant supply of the fuel cell was interrupted, where the interrupted reactant supply is resumed from a restart signal, and where a fuel cell voltage is prescribed and then regulated by the transducer. The prescribed fuel cell voltage is prescribed in a way that an electrical unloaded fuel cell supplied with reactants will exceed the prescribed fuel cell voltage in every case, and the current of the transducer necessary for maintaining the prescribed fuel cell voltage is measured, where the normal operation is released as of a prescribed current necessary to that effect.
Abstract: A four-stroke reciprocating piston internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine includes an even number of cylinders grouped into a first half and a second half. An exhaust gas turbocharger has a first turbine inlet and a second turbine inlet. Each of the cylinders has an intake duct with an intake opening, a first exhaust duct with a first exhaust opening, and a second exhaust duct with a second exhaust opening. The first half of cylinders is connected via the respective first exhaust ducts to the first turbine inlet and is connected via the second exhaust ducts to the second turbine inlet. The second half of cylinders is connected via the respective first exhaust ducts to the second turbine inlet and is connected via the respective second exhaust ducts to the first turbine inlet. The respective second exhaust openings have a larger diameter than the respective first exhaust openings.
Abstract: A battery management system for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The system includes at least one battery having multiple battery cells, an automotive electronic control unit including a device for sensing battery quantities, where the battery quantities are the battery terminal current, the battery terminal voltage and a measured or estimated battery or battery box temperature, the battery terminal current, the battery terminal voltage, the measured or estimated battery or battery box temperature, and an automotive alternator supplying a regulation voltage, where the automotive electronic control unit is adapted to drive the battery through a charging cycle, in which a certain charge voltage and/or a certain charge current is supplied to the battery to charge the battery, and the automotive electronic control unit is adapted to control the regulation voltage based upon the sensed battery quantities to supply the certain charge voltage and/or the certain charge current to the battery.
Abstract: An electrical connection device for an electromagnetic valve that has a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of a medium. The electrical connection device includes an electrical contact plug. The electrical contact plug is part of a common housing which additionally includes an actuator coil for the electromagnetic valve as well as a plug contact for making electrical contact with the temperature sensor when the housing is mounted onto the electromagnetic valve.
Abstract: A vehicle wheel for a vehicle has a plurality of spokes, lamellac, blades, wheel segments or similar which are arranged on an outer side of the vehicle wheel, a kinematic system, via which the contour of the outer side of the vehicle wheel can be changed, and a slide element which is adjustable between an inner position and an outer position. The spokes, lamellae, blades, wheel segments or similar are hinged on the slide element and are adjustable together with the slide element.

Abstract: A cylinder head device for an internal combustion engine includes a cylinder head having a first receiving region arranged on an inlet side of the cylinder head for at least one first camshaft to be mounted on the cylinder head, and at least one second receiving region arranged on an outlet side of the cylinder head which faces away from the inlet side for at least one second camshaft to be mounted on the cylinder head. The receiving regions are separated from one another at least in certain areas by an intermediate wall of the cylinder head which is arranged at least in certain areas between the receiving regions. A duct element, by means of which at least one element of the cylinder head device can be supplied with lubricant, runs in the intermediate wall.
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle which can be operated in an automated driving mode in which the motor vehicle is driven automatically by means of a computing device includes receiving at least one input for activating the automated driving mode, determining the current position of a first component of the motor vehicle and, depending on the input received and the determined current position, predetermining an adjusting region including the determined current position within which adjusting region movements of the first component relative to a second component of the motor vehicle caused by the driver via a motor allocated to the first component are permitted.

Abstract: A connection arrangement to connect a wiper blade to a wiper arm is disclosed. A connection element includes an upper part formed to fasten the connection element to the wiper arm, on which upper part a lower part formed to hold a basic body of the wiper blade is mounted to be pivotable around a rotational axis. A slider encloses the wiper arm in an end region, where the slider is able to move along the wiper arm from an assembly position into a functional position securing the connection element. A securing element prevents a movement of the slider into the assembly position during a pivot movement of the lower part around the rotational axis by a first value and allows the movement of the slider into the assembly position if the lower part is pivoted by a second value which is greater than the first value.
Abstract: A system and a method for shutting down an illegally used vehicle involves a first control device of the vehicle receiving a vehicle shutdown command and a server connected to the first control device and which transmits the vehicle shutdown command to the first control device. The first control device requests confirmation of the vehicle shutdown command in an external authorization system before the shutdown of the vehicle and a second control device initiates the shutdown of the vehicle.

Abstract: The invention discloses a steering column arrangement that has a steering spindle and a casing tube enclosing the steering spindle, which may be mounted to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis relative to the casing tube, and also has a switch module, which has a housing and a fastening sleeve provided on the housing. The fastening sleeve is designed such that the switch module with the fastening sleeve can be mounted on the casing tube and can be securely clamped to the casing tube. The casing tube on an outer circumferential surface has at least one radial projection, and the fastening sleeve on an inner circumferential surface has at least one extending guide groove when viewed in the longitudinal direction. The radial projection engages the guide groove when the switch module is mounted on the casing tube.

Abstract: A ground pad module for charging a power-driven vehicle is designed to be arranged on an underground accessible to the vehicle. The ground pad module includes a fan unit arranged within the ground pad module and configured to cool at least one electrical and/or electronic assembly arranged within the ground pad module by an air flow that can be supplied to the ground pad module from an exterior area. An inlet channel of the air flow is designed such that if the ground pad module is arranged as intended, water penetrating through an inlet opening of the inlet channel must overcome at least one step in a component of a flow direction of the water before it reaches the fan unit and/or the assembly with the component facing a direction opposite to the force of gravity.
