Abstract: A device for interior illumination for a vehicle includes an array formed by multiple light sources, with which an ambient illumination and a reading illumination can be generated inside the vehicle, an additional lamp unit with which exclusively an ambient illumination can be generated inside the vehicle, and a control unit for controlling the light sources and the additional lamp unit in three modes. The control unit is designed and configured in such a way that in the first mode the light sources are controlled in such a way that exclusively a reading illumination is generated inside the vehicle; in the second mode the light sources and the additional lamp unit are controlled in such a way that exclusively an ambient illumination is generated inside the vehicle; and in the third mode the control unit simultaneously activates the first and second modes for simultaneously generating an ambient illumination and a reading illumination.

Abstract: A method for the operation of a vehicle light unit is provided. The light unit includes at least one light source module having several light sources and a control unit coupled to the light source module. The light sources each include a predetermined number of brightness levels. A predetermined number of light sources are combined by the control unit to form at least one controllable light source unit. In order to set a light distribution, the light sources that form the at least one light source unit are activated together and a brightness level of each light source of the at least one activated light source unit is set individually.
Abstract: A battery includes a number of single cells interconnected in series and/or in parallel, the electrical poles of which for the electrical interconnection are connected to one another in a positive-fit and/or integrally bonded manner, directly or by means of cell connectors. The battery also includes a battery monitoring unit connected to the electrical poles and/or to the cell connectors in a positive-fit and/or integrally bonded manner. The electrical poles of the single cells, the cell connectors, and/or the battery monitoring unit have redundant contact areas for the positive-fit and/or integrally bonded connection. In each case only one of the contact areas which are redundant with one another is connected in a positive-fit and/or integrally bonded manner, and the further contact area(s) is/are not connected.
Abstract: A device for controlling an interior lighting system of a vehicle to produce ambient lighting and/or reading lighting involves the interior lighting system having an array of a plurality of light sources. The device includes a control unit, by means of which the light sources of the array can be individually controlled in order to produce the ambient lighting and/or the reading lighting, and an input unit that can be connected to the control unit. The input unit has a touch-sensitive screen for inputting a current set of control information for the control unit. The control unit controls the light sources on the basis of the current set of control information. Furthermore, the input unit, on the basis of the current set of control information, displays associated ambient lighting and/or reading lighting for an illuminable region in the vehicle interior on the screen.

Abstract: An air filter for a ventilation device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The air filter has a planar extension along which the air filter is able to be inserted into a flow area of the ventilation device transversely relative to a flow direction and has a filter medium arranged along its planar extension. The filter medium is bordered at least in certain regions by at least one frame wall. The frame wall has at least one section which is able to be brought into engagement with guide elements of the ventilation device in order to guide the air filter during insertion into the flow area. The section is a notch on an edge of the frame wall and is formed with an undercut relative to the edge such that the air filter is able to be braced transversely relative to the insertion direction during insertion in two directions.
Abstract: A light arrangement includes two vehicle rear lamps and an illuminated decorative strip, which are aligned to each other both functionally and creatively. The decorative strip has a light outlet provided with a covering glass, under which an is optical fiber. The covering glass is provided on the outside with a translucent chromium foil and the base body of the decorative strip is chromium-plated on its surface. The optical fiber, the lighting source, the controller of the lighting light source, and the connections for the power supply are integrated into the base body of the decorative strip. Color selection can be adjusted by the controller of the lighting source so that the light and intensity of the color selection supplied to the optical fiber can be aligned with that of the rear lamps.
Abstract: A filter device for a filter system of a motor vehicle includes a filter element which is securable to a filter module. A filter element securing structure is disposed on the filter element where the filter element securing stricture interacts with a respective securing structure disposed on the filter module to form a bayonet closure. The filter element securing structure is an arc-shaped guide groove in a base of the filter element, where the arc-shaped guide groove has an insertion opening at a first end and a latching contour at a second end. The respective securing structure disposed on the filter module is a head pin that is receivable in the arc-shaped groove, An edge region of the arc-shaped guide groove slopes from the insertion opening to the latching contour.
Abstract: A motor vehicle having a rear view device with no wing mirrors is disclosed. The rear view device includes at least one camera, by which at least one part of a rear space/traffic situation can be recorded, and at least one screen, on which the image section recorded by the at least one camera can be displayed. The at least one screen is arranged on a console of a side door protruding towards the vehicle interior, where this console engages at least partially with a recess of the dashboard when the side door is closed.
Abstract: An integrated starter and on-board electrical system disconnecting module for connecting to a starter battery and to an on-board electrical system by a transducer is disclosed. A method for limiting the starting current in a motor vehicle and the use of the integrated starter and on-board electrical system disconnecting module in multi-voltage on-board electrical systems, in particular during a start-stop operation of plug-in hybrid vehicles and for hybrid on-board electrical systems, are also disclosed. The transducer can be connected to a starter circuit including the starter battery from an on-board electrical system side, via a starter control device and via an on-board electrical system disconnector. The on-board electrical system can be uncoupled from the starter circuit and the starter control device and the on-board electrical system disconnector are integrated in the module.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for cold-start of fuel cell stack in fuel cell vehicles. In one example, a method may include in response to cold-start of fuel cell vehicle, limiting the load drawn from the fuel cell stack. In addition, a coolant pump may be operated at a higher rate through a bypass loop to get heat quickly to the fuel cell stack to increase the solubility of water in the fuel cell stack to prevent ice formation. The net effect is that the fuel cell stack is then operated within the ice capacity of the membrane, and start-up at lower temperatures is possible without experiencing an intermittent performance drop due to active area freezing. Once the fuel cell stack is sufficiently warmed up, the coolant pump rate and fuel cell stack may be adjusted according to the demand.
