  • Patent number: 11765777
Abstract: Spectrum and radio resources associated with a 5G radio unit (RU) of a host network are dynamically allocated amongst one or more guest networks. A provisioning plane receives inputs from a guest network operator that identifies desired times, locations and/or frequency bands for desired network coverage. The provisioning plane responsively identifies bandwidth allocations that meet the requested parameters for exclusive use by the guest network. User equipment (UE) associated with each guest network maintains time and frequency synchronization with the host network, but otherwise limits its communications to the frequency bands allocated to the guest network. By dynamically obtaining physical radio and spectrum resources from a host provider and by scaling backend network capabilities using cloud resources, guest networks for any number of different purposes can be quickly deployed or modified as desired.

Abstract: An example method of testing a cell site includes capturing a transmission from a radio at the cell site on a mobile device located at the cell site, receiving position data on the mobile device while capturing the transmission, and verifying that the position data identifies the cell site on the mobile device. The mobile device receives a signal from the radio at the cell site at a frequency and validates a measurement of a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of the signal at the frequency. The mobile device validates a power up of the radio at the cell site without detecting an alarm, and the mobile device validates that a connection on a port of an antenna at the cell site is coupled to a low-band connection or a high-band connection.

  • Patent number: 11758417
Abstract: A technique is directed to methods and systems for providing autonomous wireless coverage. In some implementations, the autonomous wireless coverage providing machine (e.g., a mobile wireless tower) can move to various locations to optimize coverage, connectivity, and/or quality. The mobile wireless tower can collect environment data of a location and determine the terrain and wireless devices requesting coverage. The mobile wireless tower can identify a location to provide network coverage to the devices based on the terrain. In some implementations, the mobile wireless tower can determine a location to provide coverage using Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning retrieved from the network for which the mobile wireless tower provides coverage. The mobile wireless tower can have a flexible length wired or wireless backhaul capability for the mobile wireless tower to send data and retrieve data stored on the network.

  • Patent number: 11758383
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards employing parallel satellite and wire transmissions to facilitate 5G communications. A network origination system receives, via 5G communication, a message from an origination device for distribution to a destination device. The network origination system determines a priority of the message and selects a transmission mechanism—wire transmission, satellite transmission, or parallel transmission—in which to transmit the message to the network destination system based on the priority. The network origination system transmits the message to a network destination system via the selected transmission mechanism. The network destination system forwards the message to the destination device and determines if the message is tagged for the parallel transmission.

  • Patent number: 11729630
Abstract: A technique is directed to methods and systems of virtual site inspections. In some embodiments, a network operator navigates a drone which captures image data of equipment and layout of a site. The image data is processed and used to generate a 3D model of the site. A network operator virtually installs new equipment in the virtual representation of the site, and presents the 3D model of the site, with the new equipment in the proposed location, to a permitting authority. The permitting authority can review the 3D model of the new equipment at the site and approve or deny authorization for the network operator to physically install the equipment at the site. After the new equipment is installed, a network operator can capture image data of the installed equipment at the site to prove to the permitting authority that the equipment was installed at the site according to regulation.

  • Publication number: 20230247489
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices dynamically allocate bandwidth parts in response to conditions at cell sites. An example process assigns a first plurality of slices and a second plurality of slices to communicate on a bandwidth of a cell site. The cell site operates at a first level of power consumption. A changed operating state is detected at the cell site, and the first plurality of slices is assigned to communicate on a bandwidth part of the cell site in response to detecting the changed operating state. The bandwidth part is a subset of the bandwidth. The cell site operates at a second level of power consumption in response to assigning the plurality of slices to communicate on the bandwidth part. The second level of power consumption is less than the first level of power consumption.

  • Patent number: 11713121
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing automated contagion detection and remediation (ACDR) features to detect and remediate environmental contagion conditions. For example, ACDR techniques can be used to target contagion contamination on surfaces in a trafficked area, rather than focusing detecting and remediating human symptoms. ACDR systems can include swarms of specially configured drones under control of one or more centralized controllers to detect presence of one or more types of pathogens on surfaces and to classify detected contagion events. In some embodiments, upon such detection, the same or other specially configured drones can be triggered to remediate the detected condition by removing the pathogen by disinfecting surfaces, by cordoning off infected areas, and/or in other ways. Some embodiments can further log and aggregate data relating to detected contagion events to support tracking, remediation, enforcement, protocol updating, research, and/or other efforts.

  • Patent number: 11706286
Abstract: Novel techniques are described for gateway routing and/or processing of multi-tenant Internet-of-Things (IoT) device data streams. For example, a single IoT routing gateway can be used to route device data streams from IoT devices of multiple customers according to rule-based routing tiers. The routing tiers define routing protocols, including which communication technologies to use for transmission of the device data streams over a cloud network to remote servers. In some cases, the routing tiers further define processing protocols to facilitate rule-based edge processing (and/or remote processing) of some or all device data streams. Some routing tiers can define a primary and one or more secondary solution for routing and/or processing, according to customer-defined rules. In some cases, the routing tiers further enable rule-based control of interconnectivity among IoT devices.
