Abstract: Continuous positional information for an orbiting body such as a spacecraft, satellite, or the like with respect to a reference body, for example, the sun, is provided by a first continuous sensor which continually views the sun from the orbiting body and generates electrical signals which provide two axis information on the orbiting body's position. Analog sensors of this type have low accuracy because of transfer function non-linearity, degradation due to environmental aging, or radiation effects and others. A second periodic sensor is directed at the reference body to provide periodic positional updates. These updates are used as references to which the instantaneous output of a continuous sensor are compared so that error associated with the output of the continuous sensor can be eliminated to the accuracy of the calibration.

Abstract: An apparatus for indicating line type on a fishing reel having a spool for storing a supply of fishing line and structure for wrapping the fishing line onto the spool to effect retrieval of paid out fishing line. The apparatus includes a rotatable dial or other settable structure on the fishing reel for giving a user a visual indication of which of a plurality of different types of fishing line is on the spool.
Abstract: A unitary blank having a multiplicity of fold, cut, and score lines permitting the blank to be folded along the fold and cut lines to form a container attached along a first score line to a display panel adapted to be hung from an arm of a merchandising display unit. The blank defines at least one locking slot and further having a tab connected along a first folding line to a first panel and connected to the display panel along a second score line. The tab is insertable in the slot when the display panel is separated from the container to close the top of the container with the first panel.

Abstract: This invention relates to an NSO myeloma cell line which has increased fusion frequency, and to a method of producing said cell line. The NSO cell line of the invention, when fused with B cells, produces monoclonal antibody-secreting hybridoma which has increased resistance to death. In addition, the monoclonal antibodies secreted by said hybridomas have increased affinity for foreign antigens and for autoantigens.

Abstract: An aliasing sampler probe for detecting plasma RF voltage and current employs a sampling signal with a sampling rate slower that the RF fundamental frequency selected to produce an aliasing waveform at an aliasing frequency that is several orders of magnitude below the RF fundamental frequency. In one embodiment, the RF power is applied at 13.56 MHz. and sampling pulses have a sampling rate of 2.732 MHz to produce replicas of the RF voltage and current waveforms at an aliasing frequency of about 100 KHz. The aliasing replicas preserve phase and harmonic information with an accuracy that is not available from other sampling techniques.
Abstract: The present invention relating to novel oxazolidine and tetrahydrooxazine amide surfactants and to processes for making the surfactants. These are cyclic surfactants having good solubility and which are readily biodegradable.

Abstract: A cord connector device for releasably connecting a plurality of operating cords in a window covering. The cord connector device comprises two elongate side members interconnected for relative movement about a pivot axis adjacent their lower ends such that the upper ends of the side members are movable relative to each other in a path of movement from a closed condition to an open condition. Cord retaining jaws extend inwardly of the side members at a location spaced below the upper ends of the side members and the jaws having jaw edges disposed in opposed relation when the side members are in the closed condition to retain the lower ends of the lift cords. A top wall on the upper end of one of the side members configured to form spaced sides and one end of an elongate cord abutment loop and an upper projection on the other side member is arranged to form the other end of the elongate loop when the side members are in the closed condition.
Abstract: A multifunctional recessed lighting fixture which offers a unique combination of modular parts and unit components which can be assembled in a plurality of possible variations resulting in distinctive appearance of the variants assembled, yet maintaining an appearance of continuity among the recessed lights.

Abstract: A two-piece drapery traverse rod master carrier comprising a carrier body having rod guides for supporting the carrier body for movement along a traverse rod, and a drapery support arm having lead and trail ends and a mounting stem extending laterally from one side of the support arm at a location intermediate the lead and trail ends of the arm. The carrier body has an arm guide supporting the mounting stem for horizontal movement in a direction perpendicular to the path of movement of the carrier body when the lead end of the drapery support arm extends from the arm guide to adjust the lateral position of the support arm relative to the slide body. The drapery support arm can be positioned on the carrier body with the lead end extending in either of two opposed directions generally parallel to the path of movement of the carrier body.
Abstract: A cord connector for releasably connecting multiple operating cords for a window covering. The cord connector has at least two side members supported for pivotal movement relative to each other between a closed condition in which the side members are in sidewise adjacent relation and an open condition in which at least upper portions of the side members are laterally spaced apart. Jaws on side members provide downwardly facing shoulders for engaging cord stops on the operating cords and the jaws have jaw edges operative when the side members are in the closed condition for laterally confining portions of the operating cords superjacent the stops to positions in which the cord stops engage the downwardly facing shoulders. The side members have lateral cord abutment portions spaced above the cord retaining means and arranged to form segments of a closed cord abutment loop dimensioned to loosely surround the operating cords at the upper end of the cord connector when the side members are in the closed condition.
Abstract: Packaged toothpaste formulations which contain air sensitive components, e.g. vitamin C, are prevented from discoloring or otherwise degrading, by placing adjacent to an area of the packaging which may allow air access to the formulation, e.g. an air permeable collar, a nozzle, or the wall of an air permeable tube, a body (e.g. plug or layer) of material which does not contain any air sensitive components. Preferably, the latter body of material is the packaged toothpaste but without the air sensitive components.
