    Abstract: A method of tracking a position of an eye is provided. The method of tracking a position of an eye includes converting an obtained image into a binary number image, classifying the corner of the eye, maximum and minimum values of a pupil of the eye, and extracting a feature point from the binary number image on which the binarization step is completed, calculating a distance and inclination between the corner and the pupil of the eye using the feature point extracted through the feature point extraction step, and determining a gaze direction of the eye based on the distance and inclination calculated through the distance and inclination calculation step.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a silicon-carbon composite for a negative active material of a lithium secondary battery, including carbon nanofibers and silicon particles, wherein the silicon particles are coated with amorphous silica. In the silicon-carbon composite of the invention, silicon is provided in the form of a composite with carbon fibers and the surface of silicon particles is coated with amorphous silica, thereby reducing volume expansion upon lithium ion insertion and exhibiting superior ionic conductivity and electrical conductivity to thus maintain high capacity, and also, amorphous silica-coated silicon is positioned inside the carbon fibers having a one-dimensional structure, thus ensuring a large specific surface area and a stable composite structure.

A remote gaze tracking system may include an infrared lighting unit including a plurality of infrared lightings to emit an infrared light toward a user, a gaze tracking module to track a position of a face of the user, and to collect, from the tracked position of the face, an eye image including at least one reflected light among a plurality of corneal reflected lights and a lens-reflected light, the corneal reflected lights being reflected from a cornea by the emitted infrared light, and the lens-reflected light being reflected from a lens of glasses, and a processor to compare a magnitude of the lens-reflected light with a threshold in the collected eye image, and when the magnitude of the lens-reflected light is equal to or less than the threshold, to detect coordinates of a center of each of the plurality of corneal reflected lights, and to calculate a gaze position.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a compound inhibiting HF-1 activity, a preparation method of the same, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as an active ingredient. The compound of the present invention demonstrates anticancer activity not by non-selective cytotoxicity but by inhibiting the activity of HIF-1, the transcription factor playing an important role in cancer cell growth and metastasis. Accordingly, the compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention inhibits HIF-1 activity, and therefore can be used as a therapeutic agent for solid tumors such as colon cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer and breast cancer. In addition, the compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention can be used as an active ingredient for a therapeutic agent for diabetic retinopathy or arthritis which may become worse when hypoxia-induced VEGF expression by HIF-1 increases.

    Abstract: A nucleic acid aptamer capable of binding specifically to bisphenol A and a method of detecting and removing bisphenol A using the nucleic acid aptamer. The nucleic acid aptamer capable of binding specifically to bisphenol A has affinity for bisphenol A at nM concentration, and thus can detect even a very small amount of bisphenol A. Also, the nucleic acid aptamer can specifically detect only bisphenol A without showing affinity for other bisphenols, including bisphenol B having no difference from bisphenol A except for a single methyl group. Accordingly, the nucleic acid aptamer is effective in detecting and removing the environmental hormone bisphenol A which is difficult to detect by conventional methods.
