Abstract: An inductive position-measuring device includes a scanning element and a graduation element that are movable relative to each other in a first direction. The scanning element includes exciter conductors and three receiver tracks. The first and the second receiver track are disposed at a distance relative to each other, and the third receiver track is located between the first and the second receiver track. The graduation element includes two graduation tracks which are disposed at a distance relative to each other, and which have different graduation periods. Furthermore, electromagnetic fields generated by the exciter conductors are able to be modulated by the graduation tracks, so that a relative position in the first direction is detectable by the first and the second receiver track, while a relative position in a second direction, which is oriented orthogonally with respect to the first direction, is detectable by the third receiver track.
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for segmentation, processing (e.g., preprocessing and/or postprocessing), and/or feature extraction from tissue images such as, for example, images of nuclei and/or cytoplasm. Tissue images processed by various embodiments described herein may be generated by Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, immunofluorescence (IF) detection, immunohistochemistry (IHC), similar and/or related staining processes, and/or other processes. Predictive features described herein may be provided for use in, for example, one or more predictive models for treating, diagnosing, and/or predicting the occurrence (e.g., recurrence) of one or more medical conditions such as, for example, cancer or other types of disease.

Abstract: A method is provided for operating a motor vehicle having at least one drive unit in the form of an internal combustion engine that is actuated by an accelerator pedal and a control unit that interacts with the accelerator pedal. Haptic feedback on the accelerator pedal indicates to a driver that a defined action causing a change in the driving mode is about to be initiated and carried out. The haptic feedback is realized as idle travel defined in a characteristic curve stored in the control unit of the accelerator pedal proceeding from the specific accelerator pedal travel.

Abstract: A method is provided for operating a hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine and a first electric machine, to which a common input shaft of a transmission is assigned, for driving a first axle of the hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle also has a second electric machine for driving a second axle of the hybrid vehicle, and a traction battery is provided for the two electric machines. The electric machines have a total power greater than the power of the internal combustion engine. The method includes operating the first electric machine in a generator mode for charging the traction battery when the hybrid vehicle is driven exclusively by internal combustion engine. The method ensures, with a high level of electrification, a long electromotive travelling range of the vehicle.

Abstract: The application provides formulations for the topical administration of an active agent comprising at least one steroid, in the form of topical sprays that are propellant-free, and/or substantially non-foaming, and/or alcohol-free. The present application also provides processes for preparing such compositions and methods of using them in management of skin diseases or disorders such as psoriasis, dermatoses, and other associated skin diseases or disorders.
Abstract: An adjustment arrangement for a seat of a motor vehicle including a rail which is mounted displaceably in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to a frame of the vehicle, a seat support which forms a retainer for the seat, a connecting element which mechanically couples the seat support to the rail, wherein a first section of the connecting element is mounted on the rail so as to be rotatable in a predefined pivoting plane, wherein a second section of the connecting element is mounted on the seat support so as to be rotatable in the pivoting plane, and wherein the connecting element is functionally rotatable relative to the seat support and/or to the rail up to a predefined adjustment limit, and further including an absorber unit which is designed to absorb kinetic energy introduced by the connecting element, if the connecting element exceeds the predefined adjustment limit.
