Abstract: A method is provided for operating a braking system of a hybrid vehicle that can be driven by an internal combustion engine and an electrical machine. A brake pressure for a mechanical brake in the braking system is reduced during braking with recuperation, in comparison to the brake pressure during braking without recuperation. A braking system and a vehicle having a braking system that functions in accordance with the method also are provided.

Abstract: A roof frame for a motor vehicle has a cowl frame with upper and lower segments and a plurality of chambers in each segment. An upper connecting surface is on top side of the free end of the lower segment. A lower connecting surface is opposite the upper connecting surface and is connected to a reinforcing element of an A pillar. The upper segment is arranged offset back from the lower segment of the cowl frame and is shortened by mechanical machining to form a step-shaped shoulder in which the outer roof frame is held.

Abstract: A method for installing a measuring tape on a circumferential surface of a holder. The method including wrapping the circumferential surface of the holder with the measuring tape and bracing the measuring tape such that the measuring tape extends spaced apart from the circumference of the holder. When the measuring tape extends spaced from the circumference of the holder due to the bracing, exerting a tensioning force on the measuring tape so that the measuring tape is held with low friction above the circumference, wherein the tensioning force is distributed at least nearly uniformly over the circumference. The method includes undoing the bracing of the measuring tape beginning at a fixation point at which a portion of the measuring tape is affixed to the circumferential surface. The method also includes applying the measuring tape to the circumferential surface of the holder while maintaining the tensioning force.

Abstract: In a method for adsorptively drying purified biogas and regenerating laden absorbents, foreign matter is not allowed to enter the purified biogas, the content of methane in the gas remains virtually unchanged and the effort involved in regenerating the laden adsorbent is reduced. Drying and regeneration are effected in a closed biogas cycle, wherein separate layers based on silica gel and molecular sieves are used as the adsorbent. The biogas to be dried first flows through the silica gel layer. The adsorbent is regenerated with exclusively heated, dried biomethane having a temperature of up to 150° C. which, after contact with adsorbent, is recirculated to the outflow of purified biogas. After regeneration, the bed is cooled by biomethane, which is subsequently recirculated to the outflow of purified biogas. Methane-containing water accumulating during drying and regeneration is recirculated to the biogas generation and/or purification.
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for controlling a battery pulse heating mode of a traction battery of a hybrid vehicle. The method includes detecting a traction battery temperature (T) upon start-up of the hybrid vehicle. The method then includes determining a dependency of fuel consumption (V) during a battery pulse heating mode on the distance (W) travelled for at least one predefined road type at the detected traction battery temperature (T). The method continues by displaying the determined dependency on a display device (50), using an input device (60) to select whether a battery pulse heating mode should be carried out; and controlling the battery pulse heating mode as a function of the selection.

Abstract: A position-measuring device includes a cylindrical object rotatable about a longitudinal axis and having a circumferential annular reflection measuring graduation. A stationary scanning unit is disposed opposite the cylindrical object and has a light source, a transmission grating and a detector. The scanning unit is configured to optically scan the reflection measuring graduation by beams of light emitted from the light source passing through the transmission grating and then striking the reflection measuring graduation, from where the beams of light are reflected back toward the detector, which is configured to generate rotation-dependent position signals. An optically effective perpendicular distance between the detector and the reflection measuring graduation is selected to be one of greater or less than an optically effective perpendicular distance between the transmission grating and the reflection measuring graduation depending on a radius of the cylindrical object.

Abstract: A method for testing the material of a test object (8) in a nondestructive manner, said test object being moved relative to a probe (1) at a variable relative speed, comprises the following steps: detecting a probe signal (US) by means of the probe (1), subjecting the probe signal (US) to analog-to-digital conversion in order to generate a digitized probe signal (USD) in the form of a sequence of digital words with a predefined, in particular constant, word repetition rate, n-stage decimation of the word repetition rate of the digitized probe signal (USD) or of a digital demodulation signal (UM) derived from the digitized probe signal by means of n cascaded decimation stages (5_1 to 5_n), where n?2, selecting an output signal (UA_1 to UA_n) of one of the n decimation stages (5_1 to 5_n) depending on the instantaneous relative speed and filtering the selected output signal by means of a digital filter (7), which is clocked with the word repetition rate of the selected output signal.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of preventing and/or treating a wound infection by introducing to a wound a clear depot comprising a hydrophilic water-soluble pharmaceutically active agent(s) selected from the group consisting of vancomycin, gentamicin, and a mixture thereof, water, a phospholipid, an oil, a pH adjusting agent, and a viscosity modifying agent, wherein the water present in the viscous depot is no more than about 4 wt %, no more than about 2 wt %, or no more than about 0.5 wt % of water relative to the total weight of the depot.

Abstract: The invention relates to a gear ring pump, in particular for use in small pump assemblies which are preferably driven by an electric motor, which are produced as pump kits, and which are used in vehicle and engine construction. The aim of the invention is to develop a gear ring pump which can be used in pump assemblies with a small housing outer diameter, the pump control times of which can be easily modified with respect to the production process in accordance with the respective customer request, and which always ensures an optimal axial gap even when using very inexpensive assemblies, such as pump housings made of aluminum and impellers made of steel, even under the extreme use conditions of an oil pump in conjunction with an internal combustion engine.
