Abstract: An apparatus for exposing and covering a charging port having a cover, which is movable between a closed position, in which the charging port is covered by the cover, and an open position, in which the charging port is exposed by the cover, using a combined drive-and-guide device, which is moved inwardly from its closed position in relation to an outer skin comprising the charging port. In order to simplify the apparatus for exposing and covering a charging port having a cover, the combined drive-and-guide device includes a gearwheel/rack combination operatively connected to the cover and having two racks arranged in parallel and meshing with a respective gearwheel. The two gearwheels are electromotively driven about a common axis of rotation.

Abstract: A bumper with a charging port which is closable by a cover that is, by way of a combined drive-and-guide device arranged in the bumper, movable between a closed position in which the charging port is covered by the cover and an open position in which the charging port is exposed by the cover. In order to simplify the manufacture of bumpers, the combined drive-and-guide device is fastened on the bumper to a unit fastening point of an individually customized adapter frame facing the combined drive-and-guide device.

Abstract: A charging connector apparatus for an electrically driven motor vehicle. The apparatus has a charging socket designed in a country-specific manner and an adapter element for fastening the charging socket designed in a country-specific manner on a vehicle body which includes a charging port. In order to simplify the manufacture and assembly of the charging connector apparatus, the adapter element for fastening charging socket designed in a country-specific manner is attached to a combined drive-and-guide device for a cover which, with the aid of the combined drive-and-guide device, can be moved between a closed position in which the charging port is closed by the cover and an open position in which, with the aid of the combined drive-and-guide device, the charging port is exposed by the cover.

Abstract: A traction battery with a battery housing and a plurality of battery cells arranged in the battery housing. At least one flame-retardant plate is arranged in the battery housing and separates two housing chambers from one another. A plate receiving structure with at least one groove pair including two opposite grooves is present in the battery housing. The at least one flame-retardant plate is held in the battery housing by the plate receiving structure. Also described is a method for producing such a traction battery.

Abstract: A sensor assembly for measuring a torsion of a rotor blade of a wind turbine generator system includes a first light source configured to generate light and a first transmitter-side polarizer disposed downstream thereof in a direction of light propagation and configured to generate linearly polarized light as a first transmission light. A second light source is configured to generate unpolarized light as a second transmission light. First and second detector elements are arranged and adapted to receive the first and second transmission light. A first receiver-side polarizer is disposed upstream of the first detector element in the direction of light propagation and a second receiver-side polarizer is disposed upstream of the second detector element in the direction of light propagation. An orientation of a polarization plane of the first receiver-side polarizer and an orientation of a polarization plane of the second receiver-side polarizer are different from one another.

Abstract: An automatic washer for continuous positive airway pressure equipment has a housing defining a wash chamber having an open face providing access to the wash chamber, a door selectively closing the open face, a dual eccentric nozzle protruding into the wash chamber, a rack slidingly receivable within the wash chamber, and a spray nozzle in the bottom surface of the wash chamber. The rack has a hose clamp oriented to secure an end of a CPAP hose when seated in the rack with an open end of the CPAP hose facing the dual eccentric nozzle. The dual eccentric nozzle has an air conduit that introduces air during a drying cycle and a water conduit that introduces water during a rinse cycle, and when the rack is fully inserted in the wash chamber, the dual eccentric nozzle is received inside the hose clamp, thereby, inside the CPAP hose when present.

Abstract: A method for authenticating a charging procedure for an electric vehicle at a charging station includes: checking, by a communication module, whether a connection exists to a network and to a back-end server; establishing, by the communication module, that no connection exists to the network and to the back-end server, and communicating that no connection exists to a processor; generating a message on a display device of a user interface indicating that an input of an authentication code is required to enable the charging procedure; comparing an entered authentication code with an authentication code stored in a storage unit of the charging station; and authorizing and enabling the charging procedure if the entered and stored authentication codes match one another, or refusing the charging procedure if the authentication codes do not match one another.
