  • Patent number: 8191554
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention relates to a covering member for a protruding portion of a patient's body. This cover is flexible and collapsible so that it conforms to the shape of the encased portion of the body. This prevents the cover from being noticed while it is worn under clothing. The cover can contain a medicament or agent for pretreating a portion of the body before an examination or procedure. When the cover is used to apply a topical anesthetic to a portion of the body for a recommended period of time prior to the procedure or examination commencing, the amount of discomfort experienced by the patient can be significantly reduced compared to the amount experienced by the patient who has the anesthetic applied for just a few moments before the procedure begins. Alternatively, the cover can be used to hold a medicament or agent on the intended portion of the body in order to heal a wound or cure a condition such as a skin rash or the like.

  • Publication number: 20120131848
Abstract: A stake for wine- and fruit-growing purposes has at least one hook for retaining a wire. The stake has a basic body with at least one limb made of sheet metal. The hook is a tongue portion, extending from a tongue base to a free end, punched and bent out of the sheet metal. An outer edge of the tongue portion, at an accommodating portion for the wire, is provided with a chamfer. The chamfer is obtained by introducing a first and a second groove, corresponding in shape to the contour of the tongue portion and being in particular V-shaped in cross section, into the basic body and then pressing the tongue portion out of the basic body.

  • Publication number: 20120135372
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for making a guiding template for dental implantation. The method provides for associating a base template to a reference device, subjecting the patient to CAT, loading the data to a computer program, making an implant planning, generating the volume model, coupling the volume model to the reference device model, projecting the elements of the implant planning on the volume model, making a volume suitably drilled on the basis of the projection, coupling the volume to the reference device and making the holes of the planning on the base template. The present invention also relates to the guiding template thus obtained and the reference device for carrying out the method.

  • Publication number: 20120135491
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing biogas or sewage gas by a multi-stage anaerobic reaction of biomass and/or sludge. Considering the disadvantages of the known prior art, a method is to be provided that leads to a higher yield of raw gas or biogas and a higher content of methane in the raw gas and enables an economically improved operating method. To this end, the reaction is carried out in the first fermentation stage (F1) while maintaining a TS content of 3 to 8% and a volume load of 1 to 3 kg OTS/m3 d. In the second fermentation stage (F2), a further reaction of the solid matter phase is carried out while maintaining a TS content of 8 to 40% and a volume load of over 2 kg OTS/ m3 d. In the second fermentation stage, the fermentation substrate is set to a TS content that is higher than the TS content of the first stage. In both fermentation stages, the reaction is carried out in the range from slightly acidic to neutral (pH value 6.5 to 8).

  • Patent number: 8186237
Abstract: A transmission, in particular a dual clutch transmission, has a plurality of transmission shafts and a fastening apparatus for at least one fixed gear on one of the transmission shafts. The fixed gear is held axially on the transmission shaft by way of a fastening nut. The fixed gear is formed with a recess around the transmission shaft in a region that lies radially below the gear toothing system. A fastening sleeve is positioned in the recess between the fixed gear and the transmission shaft in a section which adjoins a fastening nut. During the clamping of the fastening nut, the latter bears against the fastening sleeve. As a result, the transmission of micromovements to the fastening nut is minimized or prevented, with the result that loosening of the fastening nut does not take place during the operation of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 8186241
Abstract: A shifting device for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle with a gear-shift lever, which can be moved in an automatic shift track to select gear-shift positions; with a locking mechanism for blocking the adjusting movements of the gear-shift lever into at least one gear-shift position and/or out of at least one gear-shift position; and with a release button arranged on the gear-shift lever to release the blocking action of the locking mechanism. An increased level of functional reliability can be achieved by establishing a drive connection between the release button and two blocking elements, which are arranged redundantly on the gear-shift lever with the freedom to move up and down, that an actuation of the release button produces a synchronous stroke of the two blocking elements, where each of the blocking elements cooperates with an arresting gate comprising gate sections assigned to the gear-shift positions.
