Abstract: An adjustable vehicle seat (1) has an inclinable seat part (2) and an inclinable backrest (3) mounted to the seat part (2). Front and rear areas of the seat part (2) are mounted pivotably in bearings (7, 5) at positions adjacent to remote sides of the seat part (2). The bearings (7, 5) also are mounted pivotably in the vehicle floor or rails (11). The lengths of the front bearings (7) can be changed for changing an inclination of the seat part (2). A backrest adjusting motor adjusts inclination of the backrest (3) to compensate for changes in the inclination of the seat part (2).

Abstract: A method and system produce a synthesis gas from a biogas. The method provides a more economic process control and a higher yield. For this purpose hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide of the biogas are nearly completely separated in separate cleaning steps before a catalytic conversion of the biogas, wherein hydrogen sulfide is biologically removed by the admixture of oxygen and/or oxidation agents containing oxygen. The oxygen, or the oxidation agent, is dosed such that an excess of oxygen of at least 1.0 vol.-% is present in the cleaned biogas (methane gas). The biogas is concentrated without any dehumidification, heated, and mixed with superheated steam. Due to the excess of oxygen, thermal energy is additionally created during the reforming process by an exothermal oxidation of oxygen contained in the biogas together with hydrogen in the catalyst bed for the endothermal conversion of methane to the synthesis gas.
Abstract: A method of producing a bent rod includes impregnating fibers (1) with resin (2), introducing the impregnated fibers into a flexible plastic tube (3), bringing the flexible plastic tube to a desired bent form and crosslinking the resin with the fibers to produce the rod with the desired bent shape. The flexible plastic tube is formed from a material that has a very low friction coefficient and the flexible plastic tube remains in its position after the crosslinking to permit sliding movement of the bent rod relative to an adjacent structure.

Abstract: Annotations of medical images may be generated using one or more lexicons so that terminology is consistent across multiple exams, users, facilities, etc. Measurements of lesions may be provided using a bilinear measurement tool that allows easier bilinear measurements. Disease assessment models may be selected and applied as measurements are acquired in order to provide immediate determination of disease staging according to one or more selected assessment models.
Abstract: A chemical analysis method for the determination of RO(CH2CH2O)nH, RO(C2H4O)nA, and AO(C2H4O)nA in a mixture thereof, wherein R is an alkyl group, A is a functional group for coupling with a surface or a biologically active material or another thing of use and n is an integer greater than 10. The method includes the derivatizing the A groups of the mixture with a derivatizing agent to form a derivatized mixture comprising RO(CH2CH2O)nH, RO(C2H4O)nAD, and DAO(C2H4O)nAD, wherein AD is the derivatized A group. The second step is chromatographing a sample of the derivatized mixture by liquid chromatography under critical conditions to determine the relative amounts of RO(CH2CH2O)nH, RO(C2H4O)nAD, and DAO(C2H4O)nAD in the derivatized mixture.
Abstract: The application relates to processes for preparing fipamezole and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, and intermediates thereof. It also provides intermediate compounds of Formula III and Formula IV, and processes for their preparation.

Abstract: Inlet openings at the frontal region of a vehicle have actuable transversely oriented pivoting lamellae disposed behind them. The lamellae guide an air flow to a vehicle radiator in a targeted manner. The pivoting lamellae are connected to an actuating device with control linkages that are articulated to one another via deflection levers for an upper and a lower lamella unit. The upper pivoting lamellae are adjusted at an angle which is different than the lower pivoting lamellae. The upper pivoting lamellae can be set in each case as a unit jointly with the lower pivoting lamellae as a further unit.

Abstract: A vehicle has at least one electric machine that can be operated as a generator, an electrical energy accumulator and a control unit for controlling the at least one electric machine and the electrical energy accumulator. The control unit operates so that in a recovery phase the vehicle can be decelerated by the generator load of the electric machine operated as a generator (2:a) and the resulting electrical energy (1:E) can be stored in the electrical energy accumulator. The control unit is configured so that the at least one electric machine operated as a generator in a recovery phase is operated by said control unit in a chronologically unlimited fashion with a predefinable overload (2?:a, 2?:a, 2??:a).
